Game Over. It's almost time to bid adieu to one of the most popular young adult franchises in recent years. Lionsgate's incredibly successful Hunger Games series comes to a close next month with the eagerly anticipated Mockingjay - Part 2. Ahead of the final trailer's release on Friday, stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth have covered the latest issue of EW.

With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow [Donald Sutherland] in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale [Liam Hemsworth], Finnick [Sam Claflin] and Peeta [Josh Hutcherson] – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to liberate the citizens of Panem, and stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 hits theatres November 20, 2015.

@fettastic I tried watching the 1st one about 2 years ago, just to see what the fuss was about. I made it about 10 minutes in and bailed. And that was before I grew sick of JLaw.

Looking forward to it. The last 2 have been phenomenal. Hopefully this one continues the trend.

Plus, more Natalie Dormer with a side shave is ALWAYS a good thing. Always.

It's lost it's spark since it feels like the first movie came out 10 freaking years ago. Still a fan of the books. Have not seen or read mazerunner. Maybe I'll watch it tomorrow.

@fettastic Yeah, that was easily the dumbest moment of that entire movie. Probably of the entire franchise haha. But trust me, while the first movie is a bit of a chore to get through, the 2nd and 3rd movies are in a different league of their own. Changing directors and getting a bigger budget REALLY made a difference.

They're phenomenal sci-fi movies with a hell of a lot of political undertones. This franchise is way smarter than a lot of people want to give it credit for. I used to be in the same boat - I refused to watch these movies for the longest time because of how dumb it looked to me. Then I actually sat down to watch them and I've been eating crow ever since. I'd definitely give them a chance if I were you.
