I'm hoping and praying that he does a great job with Godzilla....I have heard very mixed opinions of Monsters....I doubt he will make it the same style, but man I want to see a great Godzilla movie in America, but done right

I just watched Monsters and is was ok at best. I hope this movie is great but even if it sucks it will motivate Toho to pull Godzilla out of retirement.

Godzilla needs to have a great story. The stuff from the 90s was great (except Spacegodzilla). Godzilla as a force of nature is the way to go with the movie. And of course him fighting other monsters. We don't need a long drawn out origin story either!

Godzilla was my first addiction as a kid. LOVE Godzilla! The main thing the American Godzilla got right was to make him slimmer, more agile. Godzilla should be fast, indestructible, flame breathing. The American Godzilla did breathe fire but it was so subtle you didn't even notice. I think he did it twice.

Monsters, I thought, was just plain boring. It's a drama pretending to be a monster film. Man, I really hope this film does Godzilla justice.
