Warner Brothers and Legendary Pictures' Godzilla was a monster-hit at the global box office this year, pulling in $525M. Part of what made the Gareth Edwards-directed film a box office champ was the visual effects, which were provided by the Moving Picture Company (MPC). Below, is a four-minute video showcasing their work. Check it out.

Reimagining of the 1954 Japanese Science fiction film about the destruction caused by a giant monster. When a devastating event is covered up as a natural disaster, nuclear physicist Joe Brody realises something much more sinister is to blame. Scientists Dr. Ichiro Serizawa and Dr. Vivienne Graham reveal that in 1954 a powerful monster was awakened, and though 'nuclear tests' were carried out in the Pacific Ocean to destroy it, the creature has now returned. With the US Armed Forces -- including Joe's son Navy Lieutenant Ford Brody -- called into action, humanity fights for its survival.

Gareth Edwards directed “Godzilla,” which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson (“Kick-Ass”), Oscar® nominee Ken Watanabe (“The Last Samurai,” “Inception”), Elizabeth Olsen (“Martha Marcy May Marlene”), Oscar® winner Juliette Binoche (“The English Patient,” “Cosmopolis”), and Sally Hawkins (“Blue Jasmine”), with Oscar® nominee David Strathairn (“Good Night, and Good Luck.,” “The Bourne Legacy”) and Bryan Cranston (“Argo,” TV’s “Breaking Bad”).

I can't wait to see Godzilla go head-to-head with Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah.

But now we have to wait four years because the Star Wars franchise just has to have it's spin-off, which sounds interesting.

All I know is Godzilla desperately needs a GIGANTIC POWER BOOST in the next film, especially if he is throwing down with Rodan, Mothra, AND King Ghidorah. I'm talking the nuclear pulse, spiral ray kind of powerful. No more falling asleep after using his breath and fighting two big bugs, [frick] that shit.

The movie was fine, if you really just want to see lots of giant monster action, go back to pacific rim.

The movie was boring. Waited over an hour to see Godzilla then couldn't see him because of the bad lighting. The focus was on a boring story line with bland actors.
