Many spoilers for Avengers: Doomsday have leaked online in recent months, but there's still an awful lot we don't know about the movie. While early merchandise often features inaccuracies (a good example is the Scorpion's tail in Spider-Man: Brand New Day), a new Doctor Doom statue from Iron Studios has everyone talking.
As you'll see below, Victor Von Doom is holding a mysterious device in his hand that, given its inclusion here, suggests it will be integral to the villain's story arc in the movie.
The prevailing theory is that it's Marvel Studios' take on the Ultimate Nullifier. One of Marvel's most powerful and dangerous weapons, the mysterious device can erase virtually anything from existence.
Originally housed within the Worldship of Galactus, the Fantastic Four discovered it, and Reed Richards wielded it when Earth faced destruction at the hands of the Devourer of Worlds. The Nullifier's true potential depends on the wielder's mental strength, as it can destroy the target...or the person using it.
Other theories are a little more mundane, with some suggesting that Doom has modified a TemPad to travel between worlds. Another popular idea is that this might be a key to the Library of Worlds, a mysterious interdimensional repository containing knowledge from across the Marvel Universe. Connected to countless realities, it serves as a vast archive of cosmic information.
The official product description doesn't name this accessory, but it is referred to as "white-1-key" in the image files, so that in itself might be a clue about how it factors into Avengers: Doomsday.
In related news, there are rumblings on social media that Elijah Carrion is playing Quentin Quire/Kid Omega in Avengers: Secret Wars. However, that's yet to be shared by reliable sources. Still, it seems to suggest that mutants could play a key role in the Multiverse Saga finale.
You can take a closer look at Doom below. We've also included Iron Studios' upcoming statues for Nightcrawler, Beast, Cyclops, and Thor, revealing a closer look at their respective costumes.
