Zennie62.com interviewed producer Brian Rogers to talk about Legendary Pictures’ forthcoming remake of Godzilla. According to Rogers, they hope to take the film in the same direction as Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. He also reveals that the plan is to keep the Japanese creature in the same vein as the original from 1954, which of course depicted the monster with atomic breath. Perhaps Rogers means that in this remake Godzilla will breathe fire. Legendary Pictures wants to play homage to the traditional Godzilla character and to make the creature and film current for a new audience. Rogers also states that Godzilla will also battle at least one other monster or monsters. Also, this remake will not follow the idea of the egg-laying "iguana" from 1998's Godzilla.
