JJ Abrams has a history of keeping things a secrets when it comes to his films ans
Super 8 is no different. If you'll remember, before
Cloverfield opened, little was known about the film and once the trailer hit with
Tranformers, it really didn't help much except we knew some thing big was happening...and it had to do with Cloverfield.
Once we saw the first
Super 8, it seemed all too familiar. It was rumored a while back that Abrams would be remaking the Tatum O'Neal starred
Little Darlings, a story about two teens who compete to lose their virginity while at summer camp. It turned out that he would just be using the name as a fake title for a casting call, which turned out to be
Super 8.
The folks over at Movie Web have discovered a Brazilian version of the
Super 8 trailer, which all great and dandy, except it's titled
Darlings . Paramount has not said whether or not this is an official title change or if
Darlings is a title that will be solely used in Brazil.
It's an odd title change if this turns out to be true. It is suspected that the film is similar to
Cloverfield in that it is an alien movie and the young stars of the movie film this alien adventure using a super 8 camera. Take a look at the trailer below and you decide.
