In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes Star Trek Into Darkness. When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis.

With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

I don't really care for Star Trek, but i wanted to see the HD screen-shots, and i must say the visuals look great. But Benedict's character looks Vulcan, does he not?

BAHAHAHAHA @teabag!

The fact that that scene was dropped into the teaser trailer makes me think that Spock aint gonna die. The person on the other side of the glass perhaps, but I don't think they are going to kill him.

Another clue, thanks to the mircale of HD, look at the color of the uniform of Benedict Cumberbatch in the 2nd to last screen grab and the color of the uniform of the arm in the last screen grab. They look like they match to me. I think JJ is throwing us a curving knuckle ball! I think it's Benedict Cumberbatch.

I think the fact that Alice Eve's short haired blond character has no name is evidence of him being Mitchell.
odds are she's playing Dr. Elizabeth Dehner, but listing her as such would reveal the villain.

@tmeadows34

Actors of the film have already denied this rumor:

"It's not Khan. That's a myth. Everyone's saying it is, but it's not. I think people just want to have a scoop. It annoys me - it's beyond the point to just ferret around for spoilers all the time to try to be the first to break them,"

---Simon Pegg

"Yep, it's yet another thing I can't talk about [laughs]. I'll tell you this, it's iconic and it's exciting. I'm bored of denying that it's Khan now, because people keep saying it."

---Cumberbatch

If we can believe this, it's Gary Mitchell.

I hope its Gary Mitchell. It would be more exciting that way, for me at least. And I love the Wrath of Khan reference at the end, but I still don't think he's Khan. But if anyone can do Khan, it would be Benedict Cumberbatch

@gman3025: Nope. Look at the 3rd picture. Kirk is wearing a black uniform. Also, Spock is doing the Vulcan salute (Live Long and Prosper). He only says that to say goodbye (some Vulcans say hello with it; It's safe to say he's not saying "Hello."). Why would he be saying goodbye from behind a glass? He's going to die. Uhura and that other officer appear to be in engineering. She looks pretty distraught to me.

Picture #7 shows a Klingon and Cumberbatch's character isn't jumping really high. He's descending from a rope.

^I know. It took me a while to notice him. He looks a little different.

This looks even bigger than the first one, which is saying something!

2013 is going to be great year!

And they better not be planning to kill off Spock.
