It appears 14 year old Asa Butterfield, who will star in Martin Scorsese's
Hugo, has landed the role of Ender in Summit's adaptation of the sci-fi novel (which also spawned a Marvel comic) by Orson Scott card -
Ender's Game. The movie will be directed by Gavin Hood, who previously brought us the underwhelming
X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and produced by CBM favorites Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman.
The Hugo and Nebula Award winning novel tells the story of a group of gifted children recruited by the Government after an alien invasion. Ender emerges as the most talented, displaying genius level intellect and strategic skills. He soon emerges as a military leader and Earth's only hope of defeating the aliens.
Ender's Game is scheduled to hit theaters March 15, 2013
