INVASION: Check Out The First Trailer For New Sci-Fi Series From DARK PHOENIX Director Simon Kinberg

The first trailer for Invasion, a new sci-fi series from Simon Kinberg (Dark Phoenix) and David Weil (Hunters), has arrived, and with a cast including the legendary Sam Neill, this should be a must-watch.

Apple TV+ has released the first trailer for Invasion, an upcoming 10-episode sci-fi drama set across multiple continents. Following an alien invasion through different perspectives across the globe means a diverse cast of actors, and the streamer has spared no expense in terms of talent.

The show's impressive ensemble includes Shamier Anderson (Awake), Golshifteh Farahani (Extraction), Sam Neill (Jurassic World: Dominion), Firas Nassar (Fauda), and Shioli Kutsuna (Deadpool 2).

The show comes our way from prolific Academy Award-nominated writer/producer/director Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and David Weil (Hunters), and there's been a lot of positive buzz surrounding this one for a while now. Kinberg and Weil also wrote Invasion, while executive producers include Audrey Chon, Amy Kaufman, Elisa Ellis, Andrew Baldwin, and Katie O’Connell Marsh.

Described as a "sweeping, character-driven" series, the latest Apple Original is directed by Emmy Award-nominee Jakob Verbruggen (The Alienist) with the first three episodes set to premiere on October 22. The rest will follow weekly every Friday, and this trailer definitely has us intrigued.

Oh, and don't forget: for a limited time, customers who purchase and activate a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, or iPod touch can enjoy three months of Apple TV+ for free.

This cast makes me want to watch this, even if Kinberg is directing.

As much as I don’t like Dark Phoenix, Kinberg did a good job directing for his first movie. That last fight scene on the train was a reshoot and it’s the best part of the movie.

Apple TV+ has a lot of projects with impressive casts (just like this one), but I'm very sceptical about Kinberg
