Deadline reports that Summit Entertainment is already moving ahead with a sequel to Divergent; the big screen adaptation of the Veronica Roth novel. That movie will be directed by Neil Burger and stars Shailene Woodley, Kate Winslet, Ray Stevenson, Jai Courtney and Maggie Q. It's set to be released on March 21st, 2014 and now the studio has set Brian Duffield to script the sequel, Insurgent. According to the site, "The second installment continues the journey of Tris Prior (Shailene Woodley) as war now looms. Sides will be chosen, secrets will emerge, and Tris will risk everything as she struggles to harness her incredible power." The book has topped the The New York Times Bestseller list and the first two books have sold a combined three million copies.
