Jurassic World was a big success in the box office, but did you know that there was going to be a game developed Cryptic Studios Seattle using Unreal Engine 4!? Yeah, it’s true, and here’s the good part; The game was going to be released on Steam, Xbox Live and the PlayStation, not just mobile outlets!

If you still don’t believe, why don’t you check out some art for the game created by Nathan Lange that shows off the many dinosaurs that was set to appear!

Awesome stuff, right? There was also a fan on Reddit who claimed that they got to see an early cut of the game! Here’s some details he shared to all of us.

"I got to see some screenshots of Cryptic Studio's newest game, which was based on Jurassic World. It was a 3rd person game where the player controlled Chris Pratt's character. Several dinosaurs from the series were going to be in it including: Gallimimus, Triceratops, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptor, Spinosaurus and Baryonyx (which the model was just Spino without a sail.)

Not quite sure what you would have done in the game other than it being described as being similar to 'H1Z1.' Early Access on Steam would have come out soon but that's all the info I know.

The game looked quite good and was nearly finished as well. It looks like the game was entirely unknown to anybody outside the company as I can't even find any info on it at all. I didn't sign a non-disclosure agreement so that's why I'm telling you guys this."

That sounded like it was going to be pretty awesome! No reason has been revealed to why the game was never released, but i'm sure something will come out soon. Also, with the success the franchise is having now, I wouldn't be surprised if this game, or another game for the film would be developed in the future!

Those are some cool renders but I think its for the best that they stuck with just a Lego release for video games.

It may be just me, but I'd like to see a JP game akin to the 1998's Trespasser. Sure, it had a lot of flaws, glitches, frustrating gameplay and the technology for such an ambitious project wasn't there yet, but they could give it another chance now and make a fantastic openworld survival game.

@DefcoN There's a game that's out on Early Access on Steam that's called Ark: Survival Evolved. It's an open world survival game with dinosaurs.

@Dartanian300

I think that's why they cancelled this game. Ark is out, and it is insanely popular
