An "industry source" tells Pacific Business News that a slew of big movies are looking to film in Hawaii in the near future. According to the site, Legendary Pictures' Godzilla reboot (which is currently shooting in Vancouver, and will be released May 16th, 2014) plans on filming for one month on Oahu and another on Kauai; the latter "is also slated to be featured" in Universal's fourth Jurassic Park film. The latest film in the long running franchise recently hired director Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed), and with a June 13th, 2014 release date set, production should be starting very soon. Finally, Disney's recently announced fifth installment of the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise is "hinted" at returning to Hawaii, after On Stranger Tides was shot in the state a few years ago. The film, which sees Johnny Depp return to the role of Captain Jack Sparrow, will sail into theaters July 10th, 2015.
