An "industry source" tells Pacific Business News that a slew of big movies are looking to film in Hawaii in the near future. According to the site, Legendary Pictures' Godzilla reboot (which is currently shooting in Vancouver, and will be released May 16th, 2014) plans on filming for one month on Oahu and another on Kauai; the latter "is also slated to be featured" in Universal's fourth Jurassic Park film. The latest film in the long running franchise recently hired director Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed), and with a June 13th, 2014 release date set, production should be starting very soon. Finally, Disney's recently announced fifth installment of the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise is "hinted" at returning to Hawaii, after On Stranger Tides was shot in the state a few years ago. The film, which sees Johnny Depp return to the role of Captain Jack Sparrow, will sail into theaters July 10th, 2015.

Enough with the pirates of the Caribbean already!!! NO MORE! The last one was terrible and ruined the epicness that was the first trilogy. I wish it wasn't solely about money I wish the studios could say yep, we told this story and it is done. Now what?

I'd love to see a remake of the 1950 Treasure Island movie instead.

@Levi - Hardy har har. :P

As if my home island getting invaded by [frick]ing aliens from outer space and paraded by scum-bag pirates wasn't enough, now we have Bay to come up and blow it the [frick] up. LoL, just great. :P

@Maia87 - Dude, it's just [frick]ing beautiful over there. Swear to God, it's paradise on earth. Haven't been back home since freakin' 11 or 12 years. Hopefully it'll still be there once dinosaurs, pirates, and robots are done demolishing it. ;P

I'm optimistic that in this day and age, a new Jurrasic Park would probably be really good

As for POTC...Please no more. It was bad enough with Knightley and Bloom in them. Last one was okay though because of them not being involved.

Godzilla?...Go ahead, I'll give it a shot. It's been long enough and all the original's sucked
