Director Colin Trevorrow has tweeted the following photo while scouting locations for Jurassic Park 4, and it reveals that the highly anticipated fourquel will see the return of the island Isla Nublar. In the original 1993 Jurassic Park film, Isla Nublar was the location of the failed Jurassic Park theme park. The movie's first two sequel's The Lost World and Jurassic Park III, both feature Isla Sorna (aka "Site B") as their primary location. The idea of Isla Nublar is certainly an intriguing one, as it gives some ideas on what to expect from the fourquel. Jurassic Park 4 is set to hit theaters June 13th, 2014 in 3D. Filming is expected to begin this summer.

Sounds like it might be cool, I always thought that it would be neat for them to go back to the original island.

haven't they mentioned anything yet about any of the cast from the first and second returning or this will be an all new set of characters?

Why the heck would anyone want to go back to the original island? It's just a predictable disaster waiting to happen. How about something new like a dinosaur exhibit in New York and all them break loose causing total destruction.

Well seeing as in the second movie at the beginning of the film it talked about how Isla Nublar was destroyed in a hurricane. My guess would be InGen wants to rebuild the park. The Dino's are dead so it would be easy to get around and not have to worry about getting eaten.

The other thing is this movie is a prequel. Which could be really neat. You could have it dealing with making the dinosaurs. There would many breakouts before they found how much electricity should be on each cage. Plus with genetics you could have had InGen make other dinosaurs by mistake. Like say for the T-Rex when they were making it they had the wrong DNA in it so it would be a completely different species. Yes it would be DNA from the T-Rex but maybe it had some from a raptor too. Which makes it smarter and deadlier.

I do think it could go either of these two ways. It will be cool to find out which way it went.

Looks like the Galimimus(or however you spell it) enclosure. But I thought it was supposedly sunk?

I thought it was implied that Isla Sorna was carpet bombed or something done to get rid of the animals.

The "Something Has Survived" was referring to something more than just the lycine contingency, IIRC?

@SuspenseSmith The Lost World novel was written by Crichton in response to fans wanting a sequel to Jurassic Park the movie. Sure, it was also a sequel to his original novel, but he wrote it full on knowing that it was going to be made into a movie right after.
Just a fun fact!

@SuspenseSmith, @Vaportrail, @npkuiper &@SotoJuiceMan it's implied but not explicity stated, there was a deleted scene in the lost world where ludlow talks about destroying the island, so i'm guessing that they'll retcon it, seeing how it was actually stated or shown in the film, though it was stated in the game which is said to canon to the films, just dont see why they're even making this movie

The only original cast members I’d like to see return would be the kids: Tim (Joseph Mazzello) and Lex (Ariana Richards).

They really need to make a JP survival horror game. I'd rather have that than a fourth film.
