LINCOLN's David Strathairn In Talks To Join GODZILLA

Strathairn, who recently appeared in Steven Spielberg's Oscar winning Lincoln, is in talks to round out the cast of Legendary's Godzilla reboot as a military figure.

According to Variety, David Strathairn (Lincoln, The Bourne Legacy) is in talks to join the cast of Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures' anticipated Godzilla 3D reboot, which begins production soon. Character and plot details are currently under wraps, but sources say that the actor will be playing a military figure. Aaron Johnson (Kick-Ass), Elizabeth Olsen (Oldboy), Bryan Cranston (Argo) and Juliette Binoche (Cosmopolis) make up the movie's rather impressive cast so far, with Gareth Edwards (Monsters) in the director's chair. Godzilla is set to hit theaters May 16th, 2014.
