Last month, it was officially confirmed that another
Matrix movie is development and that original co-director Lana Wachowski will return to take the helm of this fourth instalment.
Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will also reprise their respective roles, while the movie is looking to cast a younger version of Morpheus (who it's widely believed will be played by
Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan). Now, Reeves has admitted that he's
"absolutely" excited to return as Neo.
"It's very ambitious," Reeves told
Entertainment Tonight.
"As it should be!"
He wouldn't reveal anything beyond that, but it's obviously going to be very exciting to discover how
The Matrix 4 plays out, especially as that third chapter has a pretty definitive conclusion.
Reeves is currently on something of a roll career-wise, but based on how critics reacted to
The Matrix Reloaded and
The Matrix Revolutions, you have to hope that this doesn't hurt him in any way. However, with rumours swirling that he'll join the MCU, something tells us he'll be absolutely fine!
