But Watney has survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet. With only meager supplies, he must draw upon his ingenuity, wit and spirit to subsist and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive. Millions of miles away, NASA and a team of international scientists work tirelessly to bring “the Martian” home, while his crewmates concurrently plot a daring, if not impossible rescue mission. Very cool movie. Deleted scenes already?

Easily better than Gravity. Not really fair tho. Can't go up against a great cast with a two actor movie. Then there's Interstellar, but its fantasy and a completely different beast all together.

The Martian is surprisingly good for a low on action and spectacle drama/thriller. It should actual be boring as [frick]. I find myself fact-checking some of the stuff in the film, and the author did his homework.

And then there's this masterpiece...

This movie seems so much better than the snoozefest that was Interstellar.
Does he out-science the shit out of Batman?

SuperCat: You make me long for a titty reboot of Gravity, staring Jordan Carver..
