The Planet Of The Apes franchise has certainly managed to hit some extreme high's and low's over the years. That's bound to happen though considering the amount of sequels to the original plus it eventually being rebooted. Twice. Check out the embedded video below for a look at the latest film in the re-rebooted franchise, DOTPOTA.  And be sure to subscribe to Mr Sunday's new channel, youtube.com/mrsundaymovies.

I loved Rise because of the emotion it packed in, this one needs to do the same. I love action movies, sure, but I also love when they add in an amazing story and emotional dialogue, which is what Rise was, and am hoping Dawn is. Great review.

While I don't agree to with boycotting a movie for supposed subtext, I couldn't disagree with your view more. Banning bullets defeats the whole purpose of of the 2a in the first place. While I agree that innocent people die by guns, there is also innocent people that are saved with guns. Should we ban gas because cars have contributed to innocent deaths. In a perfect world you can snap your fingers and say no more guns equals no more violence. We just don't live in that world. America has more guns than people at this point. You can't just snap your fingers and make them all disappear. I'm sorry but as long as they got theirs, I'm gonna keep mines.

"The only people who should have access are the police and armed forces but even then they can be abused."

[frick]ing statist statement.

"Stopping the shipment and sale of illegal guns is also part of gun control. It doesn't just mean your average citizen can't have a gun."

and how well is stopping the flow of illegal guns working for chirac and Detroit. The control part of gun control is only for those people who obey laws. Criminals don't give two shits about the law.

See but guns don't make it just easier for the bad guys, it makes it easier for the good guys also. In most of these recent shooting as soon as they meet armed resistance, they normally shoot them selves. Besides the easiest and most deadly way to kill is a home made bomb. You see what a pressure cooker did in Boston. What alot of people don't take into account is that evil will find away. It's up to the good to be prepared to deal with evil.

" If those cities suddenly over turned the ban do you think gun-crime would go down?"

Look at crime statistics from dc. As soon as the ban on guns was lifted, all crime started to decline. Now that ordinary people could at least have guns in their home, they were less likely to be burglarized. The bans don't affect criminals, they don't care. They only affect law abiding citizens.

I can can agree that the the world isn't so black and white to be able to label good/bad guys so definitively. What I do know is that I shouldn't have to depend on others(police and military) for the protection of me and mines. I grew up in dc, during the crack epidemic, when it was known as the murder capital. I know what can happen in the time it takes for the cops to respond. I have seen people convicted on gun charges anyway, when it is a cut and dry case of self defense. There is a big difference in feeling safe and being safe.
