A new trailer for the feature directorial debut of
Legion creator Noah Hawley,
Lucy in the Sky, is now online.
Natalie Portman
(Annihilation, Thor: Love and Thunder) stars as an astronaut named Lucy Cola who returns to Earth after a lengthy space mission only to find that she longs more than anything to be back among the stars - and based on what we see towards the end of this footage, she's prepared to go to some pretty extreme lengths to achieve that.
The film, which will have its world-premiere as part of the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival lineup, has been described as a sci-fi drama, but we don't expect to see any extraterrestrial threats in this one. In fact, it seems to be more focused on a journey into madness than outer space.
Also starring Dan Stevens, Jon Hamm, Ellen Burstyn, Colman Domingo, Tig Notaro, and Nick Offerman,
Lucy in the Sky hits theaters on October 4.
