Peter Berg (Hancock) produces and directs Battleship, an epic-scaled action-adventure that unfolds across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force. Inspired by Hasbro's classic naval combat game, Battleship stars Taylor Kitsch as Lt. Alex Hopper, a Naval officer assigned to the USS John Paul Jones; Brooklyn Decker as Sam Shane, a physical therapist and Hopper's fiancee; Alexander Skarsgard as Hopper's older brother, Stone, Commanding Officer of the USS Sampson; Rihanna as Petty Officer Raikes, Hopper's crewmate and a weapons specialist on the USS John Paul Jones; and international superstar Liam Neeson as Hopper and Stone's superior (and Sam's father), Admiral Shane.

Battleship is now playing internationally, and it is set to hit US theatres on May 18, 2012.

Looks entertaining, will wait for rental though.

Oh, and Family Force 5 rocks (their new album's mostly a let down though).

Brooklyn Decker is nice to look at but I would never see this in a theater. This has red box written all over it.

Does not look any worse than all three Transformers movies, those only got love due to misguided childhood nostalgia, still just CGI-laden cinematic junk food.

On a positive note that is a cool song, they should have used that in the first Avengers trailer instead of NIN.

@Pro
I might disagree with Wilding's reviews once in awhile, but I take his word on this one. Battleshit, as our good friend Tea calls it, is just Transformers at sea.

Will this be a hit, of course. Why, cause numbless teenagers will definitely call this a masterpiece.

@ghostfire its more like independence day than transformers....if you want non stop action after the 25 minute mark and flawless CGI (I'm not talking about wildings idea of flawless CGI) see it.

I'm gonna have to side with Ironman53 on this one, those photos serve more purpose than this "film"
