If they make his body armor look more metallic like his arms, I may buy into it more, though I am not buying into remaking Robocop much anyway.

maybe he's not like the first Alex, that the damn villians killed... maybe he is just a lucky guy that got a super hightech police armor.. for his mmm heroism or something stupid...

Maybe if they paint it more metallic instead of black? It looks good, but I'm not feeling Robocop.

In order to fail, I'd have to see it for myself. With all these "fail" comments I feel as if the movie was already released and I missed the opening. So to all who already saw this new Robocop movie, when was it released and where can I see it so I can fairly judge it like those who already saw it?

Why the [frick] are you all judging it off the suit? Even if it does look like iron man can u blame the production team from taking a little inspiration? Iron man is boss and the cinematic suit from the recent films is a great staple to work from. The film could still be a good film. Stop with all the suit hating. The movie could be freat. Its got a great cast and a great director. Its a new robocop. The suits gunna take from some other films. Joel kinnaman is a bosssss actor. Have you seen The Killing?

My opinion.....the suit looks decent. He is a robo....cop. He looks intimidating and legit. The sleek black design is great. Also, i heard there's different variations of thesuit. This movie maybe a surprise that gets pplback into robocop. Additionally, the suit could do some cool stuff. Sick technological traitsand features.

NEONRehan
NEONRehan - 10/8/2012, 10:55 PM
Incredible new look, love the helmet...love the armature...and love that he has a free hand...adds a new element to an old story.

The old chromatic-blue-steel is not going to make sense in today's iPad world. This armor looks like something Jon Ives constructed, and an organization would have spent billions on...I'm complacent that some fan-boys don't like it because I doubt no more than 5% of you are even industrial designers/engineers that are appreciating the nuances to this design. Ultimately, I have faith that a majority of you will be compelled in post production stills or when it's in theaters.

There should be a rule: if you don't like it, yea go ahead and describe what you don't like about it, but add value to the discussion by including how it could be 'better' with maybe even a personal mock-up drawing. Then maybe some of us in return could put more value into opinions.

@neonrehan

Too bad most of the paying moviegoers aren't industrial designers/engineers. All they'll see is an uncreative cash-off of a popular 80s film. Which is trying to pander to the masses by trying to rip off Iron Man and Batman, and ending up looking like a lame Power Ranger.

And iPads are generally silver (or white)...

you're smart for judging a "set photo" when the film or promo image hasn't even come out yet. FAIL

lol..this is getting deep!!

neonrehan and lokibane2012
i agree with you both...they should give us a new age look, but they should make the look, NEW, unseen..put some more thought into..They could have made the original robocop look like iron man but they didnt..they gave him a new unseen look..we all loved it..so they should do it again..reboot that sh!t

Rather than taking stills someone needs to capture a video of they way he moves.

@DRem21

You're dumb for not being able to judge something that is sitting right in front of you on the screen. This isn't like Ruffalo's Hulk where it's gonna be mostly worked on in post-production.

This is pretty much it.

And over the past year, pretty much every costume: Batman, Bane, Catwoman, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Spidey have looked pretty much the exact same in the final version as they did in the set photos, but with darker tones and glossier colors.

Darker and glossier won't change the design. Which is the problem here
