It's not gonna have the same capturing and breathe taking feel like the original. This is more of a child friendly version for the younger generation, honestly.

I love how people always think that a previous version of a movie is always the end all when it comes to quality even without seeing the new one in its entirety. Some of y'all need to play the lottery because you can obviously see the future.

Shutit ^^^^^^

Anyway nobody knows how this movie will turn but what most people with good taste have seen sofar looks sub par

And can anyone explain how having an exposed hand is good for contact
imaginejim
imaginejim - 12/23/2013, 5:44 PM
Nope, will not 'shutit'

Taste, like people's opinions in movies, is subjective and to try a back handed comment like "...but what most people with GOOD taste have seen sofar [sic] looks sub par" is just unneeded. It's your opinion that it looks sub par but that doesn't mean you have the best taste. That just means that from what you've seen (less than five minutes of a film that will at least 90 minutes long), it doesn't fit it with your idea of something you will like and that's ok. My point is that when people immediately say a movie is going to be crap or that the original was "perfect" and nothing can top it, that is short sighted because that's a guess. It can't even be an opinion at that point because you haven't seen the entire new one to fully compare.

As to your question about the exposed hand, my GUESS would be, taken from info from the trailer, is that they are trying to keep the humanity in him. Just like the face being partially open, the hand proved finger prints, something we use nowadays as an identifier for each person. Other than that, I have no clue. :)

He has the one, flesh, hand as a reminder that he can no longer "jerk it". It keeps his temper up.
