Sigourney Weaver Wants To Help Write The Alien Prequel

The Sci-Fi Legend who made her name with the Alien movie series offers to help write the prequel.

It seems Ripley herself doesn't want to be entirely left out of the Ridley Scott's upcoming "Alien Prequel". While promoting the Blu-Ray release of the Alien Anthology set, she had this to say about any involvement in the prequel:

“Certainly not as an actor but if they needed help with the story, I could probably help them,” Weaver said. “I have a good sense of what people appreciate in the series and what they don’t care about. So I hope they’ll ask me.”

So with rumors in full swing for the Alien reboot, news should keep coming. So do you think Sigourney Weaver should have a chance at writing the prequel?

If anyone has a singular unique perspective on the character, it's definitely Sigourney Weaver. Why wouldn't you want that kind of input? With the total bs that the film industry has been pumping out of late, it certainly couldn't hurt.

Face it Weaver there's no place for you in the prequels. The story has already been written. She sounds like one of the Star Trek-TNG crew who keep asking for another movie with the cast no one wants but a few fanboys.

If I was writing this movie I wouldn't want Weaver's help. I think they'll want to in a new direction and help from Weaver will only be a waste of time.

TheMyth- [frick] playing it, i make love to it!!! LMAO Yeah man, it is AWESOME!!! Got the collector's edish and it fully rocks! It's like they rebooted the series but still kept everything that ever made Castlevania one of my favorite franchises ever! They took everything that worked for every past game and put it all into one, on top of adding new stuff like God Of War/ROTColossus boss fights and all! The soundtrack, atmosphere and spectacular voice acting makes this game one of my very favorites! Christ, even the controls and new abilities are out of this world! The whole Lore of the franchise is intact and rocks more than ever! They have added a lot of blood and even some tits!!! Actually, it has several similarities with the PS3 Conan game which i LOVED!!! IMHO, it can't get any better than this, in fact i think i even prefer it to Symphony of the Night which i thought could never be outmatched :))

And i fully agree with you, Weaver's a goddess amongst insects!!! Even at her age, she is blistering HAWT in anythying she does! Gawd i love me some GMILFS LOL Her and Helen Mirren should get in my Jacuzzi ;P

Shaman, *gasp* better than Symphony of the Night!!! lol I agree. The only thing I don't really like about it is the whole 'Trials' achievements that makes you repay each level with special stipulations, other than that the gameplay is outstanding. Story wise, I wish it was more Vampire centric (I dunno how far you are in the game, I've beaten it and I don't wanna spoil anything as the last boss is great and the ending cinematic makes it obvious they are going to form a new franchise for it) but in all i give it a solid 9.5/10.

TheMyth- Actually, don't laugh but i just finished the first chapter. Started playing the second chapter but i'm not very far in. I predict i'll beat the game in a few months LMAO. Which is cool cause i don't want it to end LOL I have no idea what the "trials" are though. But i never play a game for the trophies so i guess i'll be missing out on those. I also wished it was more Vampire centric in the sense that they should play a bigger part but i'm still kinda glad that it's more mythical/mystical than suspense/horror "oriented" like it was with the previous games. They weren't scary or anything but the importance was given to the creatures of the night rather than anything else in the fantasy genre. I'm also very glad to be playing a whip weilding Belmont again!!! Last time i wasn't too impressed. Lament of Innocence was just decent. I hardly ever give perfect marks but this one does come close to it ;) Can't wait for a new game in this franchise!!! :))

Shaman, I forgot to mention the awesome voice cast, Patrick Stuart, Robert Carlyle, Jason Isaacs (who voices Satan!) lol my god man, a few months! Your the casual gaming type I take it? You won't see the first Dark Lord til chapter 3 I believe. If your a thorough explorer in games and try to collect all the cool gear it'll take you 30-40 hours to complete.

They should bring back Lance Henriksen as well. Maybe have Sigourney Weaver talking about something or thinking back. I personally would make Alien 3 a dream or something. I would have her wake up old on that ship, with a now old Michael Biehn and old Newt. Then they must encounter the real deal on the Predator world, when a Predator shoots down the ship when it gets too close to their orbit. Talk about an awesome movie. Yeah, they are old now, but to see them fighting something entirely new and maybe bring an "old" friend for Ripley to kill. Then just imagine, you finish watching Aliens, then you put this movie in instead of Alien 3. A new different ending for Ripley and Co. Sorry, this just came to me. I had to share it.

People are getting more upset that people are talking shit on Weaver, than the actual people who are talking shit about Weaver lol. You people need to chill the [frick] out. She's not that cool. She is the worst thing in the alien franchise to be honest, I like the aliens, not her. Get it? Btw this news is kinda random lol.

"Today Rick Moranis said that he would like to help write Ghostbusters 3" lol. Okay? So? Hell, I'd like to help write on both movies too but that isn't news worthy haha.

Yeah i am a casual gamer. Not because i like it that way mind you, but rather it's all the time i have to give to gaming. 30 to 40 hours??? Sounds perfect to me! I love finding and unlocking every little thing BUT trophies LOL. I just don't care about those for some reason LOL Can't wait to see the first Dark Lord ;)
