Readying this month's upcoming reveal of the first trailer and prologue, Paramount Pictures has just released the first teaser poster for the J.J. Abrams-directed sequel, Star Trek Into Darkness. And seemingly featuring Benedict Cumberbatch's mystery villain with his back turned to wreckage, which just so happens to, artistically, form the Enterprise emblem, check it out below!

When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one-man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew. “Star Trek Into Darkness,” written by “Lost” alumni Damon Lindelof, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, is slated for a May 17, 2013, release. Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto will reprise their respective roles as James T. Kirk and Spock. Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, Simon Pegg, John Cho and Bruce Greenwood are also returning.

Took me two seconds to see the Star Trek symbol in the rumble, but looks awesome.

Probably over speculating, but rubble looks Borg in colour and style.

I was on the verge of posting my first article. :(
I'm super hyped for the movie, but, while the poster is cool, it does kinda have a lotta similarities to TDKR's poster. At least, in my opinion. But hey, why change up what works?

Lindelof wrote this? Isn't he the writer of Prometheus? Because that was attrocious.
