@grif - yeah you took the words right out my mouth.

Then again, imitation is the highest form of flattery. Mass Effect is sort of a space-opera all its own...it's like Star Trek with assault rifles anyway!

I say: W00t for this game. It has the Fart seal of approval.

FPS?

I'm pretty it's aiming to be like Gears/Uncharted.

I want unlockable Shatner/Nimoy skins.

I hate FPSs. I just never see what's different about any of them. I just don't get how one could be any better than the other, especially if it's just straight up action. If they incorporate stealth, suspense, horror, etc then yeah, i could definitely get into it. But just straight up shoot 'em ups is just "been there, done that" for me.

I believe this will be a good game (the makers of God of War AND Gears of War are programming, writing, and developing the game for goodness sake).

@headlopper- lol

@fartman- So far (first two games), the Mass Effect games main story lines are extraordinarily similar to the Shatner-written Mirror Universe Star Trek novels (i.e., Mass Effect I is based on Star Trek Spectre, Mass Effect II is very similar to Star Trek Dark Victory).
