Collider has been provided with these fantastic storyboards that have never seen the light of day by
Star Wars Insider Magazine. Like any movie sequences are boarded but never make it to film, but with
Star Wars there is something special about the entity. Even commonplace unused storyboards still have some value to the fans. This one is of particular interest not just because it depicts a battle sequence, but because it involves Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jinn.
During pre-production on the first Star Wars prequel, artists pitched battle concepts showing the Jedi-led attack on Theed before penetrating the hangar during the film’s climatic battle. While the sequence didn’t make the final film, Ed Natividad drew up some storyboards for the fight. The magazine will be publishing the full storyboard sequence in their celebratory issue, and we’ve got a few of the images to share with our readers.
