Han's Blaster Is At The Ready On This Awesome New SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY Poster

With the second trailer on the horizon, Disney has released a new poster for Solo: A Star Wars Story which puts the spotlight on Alden Ehrenreich's younger Han Solo as he holds his blaster at the ready...

Despite all the behind the scenes drama surrounding Solo: A Star Wars Story, fans remain understandably excited to see the origin story of the titular hero explored on the big screen next month. With Ron Howard at the helm, the smuggler is in capable hands and like Rogue One - which faced similar issues - we can probably count on this movie exceeding expectations in a major way.

For now, we'll obviously have to wait and see on that front but a new poster has arrived today which will hopefully be a tad less controversial than the awesome one-sheets we later learned were plagiarised. Those seem to have vanished since Disney launched its investigation and it's safe to assume the studio will probably debut some more new posters before Solo reaches
theaters in May.

Regardless, this one is very cool as it puts the spotlight on the younger Han as he carries his now iconic blaster. Alden Ehrenreich may not be a Harrison Ford lookalike but he definitely feels like a solid choice for the role based on this and other images we've seen. What do you guys think? Are you excited for Solo: A Star Wars Story? As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Watching Episode 7 RIGHT NOW. Han's best acting. Can definitely tell he was dying to get to the end.

Oh, I am totally not counting on it

Okay.
You know when Han activated the hyperdrive in EMPIRE but the Falcon is broke?
Han “watch this.”
Leia “watch what?”

I never thought of this before, but since Star Wars was such a smalller universe back then. Is Leias reaction/confusion over not understanding what Han was attempting to show her a sign that Leia has never been on the Millenium Falcon since ANH and that she had never seen the Millenium Falcon jump to light speed?

Possible?

@MrDandy going in thinking it'll suck before even seeing the movie - lame

@vincanss - I can think something is going to suck but be surprised. Expectations do not= enjoyment.

For example I thought Wonder Woman was going to suck and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought that Mad Max Fury Road looked brain dead and stupid and it was my number 1 film of the year.

So yeah. Hopefully it surprised me but from what I've seen I THINK it will blow.

Mr. Wilding seems confused. I'll just leave this here:

awe·some
ˈôsəm/
adjective
extremely impressive or daunting; inspiring great admiration, apprehension, or fear.
