Extra caught up with Mark Hamill to briefly discuss his role and excitement for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the actor shared his amazement at being on the Millennium Falcon again.
Mark Hamill on being on the Millennium Falcon again:
...."Can I say this? Is this out? Yeah, the déjà vu of walking onto the Millennium Falcon again and remembering all these details that they've got exactly right from old photographs and old blueprints...I can't describe the feeling.  Even now it seems surreal to me.  It seems hard to believe that it's actually happening. "

Hamill on George Lucas:
"Seeing [George Lucas] this happy, he's almost unrecognizable.  Because when I was with him [on the original trilogy], he was fretting over all the details, so he didn't have time to enjoy himself.  To seem him in such a good place, it's thrilling."

Wonder if this means that Luke is on the Falcon in the film or if Mark just walked around on it while not filming? Hopefully he has scenes on board sitting at the Holochess table.

I really hope that the three still own the Falcon. That was my favorite part of the new trailer the short glimpse of the Falcon. I can't see Han ever giving it away. I hope that rumor wasn't true. Would be cool to see Luke training someone on the Falcon the way Ben was trying to train him

hard to believe that this guy apparently hated everybody, especially ford because after star wars he was not a big actor.

Sweet! Hope he is training someone like Ben trained him. I too, also hope that Han hasn't given up the Falcon to someone. I feel like he would never do that.

Completely unrelated, but among the terrible ads to the right of my screen, there's this one featuring a pic of the god-aweful show The Following. GOD that show was horrid.
Can't believe I watched the first season with such hope. S2 was utter sh!t. Hadn't seen such putrid TV since the first 20 minutes of the Charlie's Angels remake. Which looked like it had been sh@t right from Lucifer's rancid hiney.

Pardon the rant, had to get it out of my system.

Star Wars is stupendous.

So incredibly excited for this movie. Can't believe we are still 11 months away. I'm looking forward to more interviews like this with the original actors. It is still unbelievable to me that this is happening.

I just realized that Mark/Luke was only on the Falcon for ANH and briefly on ESB (with a missing hand) and not at all for RotJ. It'd be nice to see him up there with Han and Chewie one more time!

Mark Hamill is a class act. Not to mention insanely talented. I can't wait for his resurgence this year with The Flash and Star Wars. Here's to hoping they make a Killing Joke adaption.

I hope I'm wrong. But I don't see Luke having a lightsaber scene. At least not him using one. I could see Abrams and Company to give him more like an Emperor style presence. Like he's so powerful he doesn't even need a lightsaber.he just weilds the force like a God.

@theRealIntruder

I hope you're wrong too, I love the idea of him being so powerful he doesn't need one. But old Luke taking out his old saber and fighting, at least for a bit? I don't think they'll pass that up.

They should hold it back, the lightsaber, until the very last moment. Then Luke is like "All, right. That's it!!" and it just shows it dropping out of his sleeve into his hand, stashed there all along.

@TheRealIntruder @jaysin420

I hadn't really thought about it until now, but I would not be surprised if Luke doesn't wield a lightsaber. That's a good point about Luke being so powerful with the force he doesn't need it. Idk about y'all, but I thought Yoda wielding a lightsaber in Episode II was a mistake. At the time, I thought it was cool, but in hindsight I don't like it.

Maybe idk enough about Star Wars, so correct me if I'm wrong, but like your point about the Emperor I thought Yoda's was supposed to be knowledgeable/strong enough in the force he would not require a lightsaber? Also, wasn't Yoda meant to be Gandhi-like, wouldn't engaging in combat undermine that??

Also, does anyone else think because sFX evolved so much since the original trilogy, Lucas & Co. overdid it with the lightsabers in the prequels??

It just seems like they used/ignited their lightsabers far too often and frequently, at unnecessary times and reasons.
