The beginning of Terminator: Genisys, the first of three planned films that Paramount hopes will relaunch the beloved sci-fi franchise, is set in 2029, when the Future War is raging and a group of human rebels has the evil artificial-intelligence system Skynet on the ropes. John Connor (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ Jason Clarke) is the leader of the resistance, and Kyle Reese (Divergent‘s Jai Courtney) is his loyal soldier, raised in the ruins of post apocalyptic California. As in the original film, Connor sends Reese back to 1984 to save Connor’s mother, Sarah (Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke), from a Terminator programmed to kill her so that she won’t ever give birth to John. But what Reese finds on the other side is nothing like he expected.

Terminator: Genisys will feature:
Director: Alan Taylor
Arnold Schwarzenegger as T-800
Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor
Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese
Jason Clarke as John Connor
J.K. Simmons in an unspecified role
Matt Smith in an unspecified role
Aaron V. Williamson as new T-800
Lee Byung-hun as T-1000
Sandrine Holt in an unspecified role
Courtney B. Vance as Myles Dyson
Dayo Okeniyi as Danny Dyson

Terminator: Genisys will hit theaters July 1, 2015

Cool shot of Arnie, but he is already too old for this role. I am very skeptical about this movie. It's like they are trying to beat a dead horse. They should have left Cameron's two classic movies alone.

Poor Arnold. I really love Arnold and to me he's one of my favorite actors but even though i love The Terminator movies i am not looking forward to this. It just seems it's going to ruin and destroy the franchise, it's going to be a reboot and it's going to ignore two great movies in the franchise. I mean The Terminator has a %100 on RT.

Schwarzenegger comes back for his mediocre franchise, everyone hates it. Hamill comes back for his mediocre franchise, everyone loves it. It's the exact same thing.

Arnold is just fine.

The real problem with this movie will be Jai Courtney. He makes Keanu Reeves look like Daniel Day Lewis.

And I actually like Keanu Reeves.

Well, at least nobody will disappointed when it turns out to be as shit as everyone thinks it's going to be.

@blackandyellow

It's different for both actors.

People are ok with Hamill coming back since it makes sense to see him play a wise old jedi and being a secondary character, at least it seems like he will be a secondary character.

With Arnie it is less appealing seeing him play a iconic action icon as a old fart. I'm not even sure he has the presence to sell the T-800 like he did in the 80's.

A new Jurassic World Teaser? Where?

@blackandyellow And to piggyback off @SpiderFraud, we've seen Arnold return to this franchise already as an old fart, w/ lackluster results. The thrill is gone. On the other hand, Hamill's return could potentially yield different/better results. So, at this point, it's not the same thing.

Well lets compare the two characters there buddy. Mark Hamill is coming back to play Luke Skywalker who by this time has aged and become a wise old jedi master. The character has aged so the actor must age it makes sense that he comes back and like @SpiderFraud said he is not the main character.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is coming back to play the T-800 a robot that does not age and should not look any different. Let me ask you why would Sky-Net give the T-800 the appearance of a 67 year old man. They should have just done what Tron Legacy did and cgi a younger face of Arnold on to the actor playing the T-800 makes more sense then 67 year old Arnold movie his fat ass around.

Yeah, these old guys need to move aside, give the new action stars the spotlight. I'm mean didn't you see that new Scott Atkins(Adkins?) Movie? Or how about that other new action star/guy? I'll take an old Arnold and stale Terminator stories over any new "action series".
