Back in March, we found out that Tim Miller's Terminator movie had added Mackenzie Davis (Blade Runner 2049, The Martian) as a new female lead that Variety described as "the new face of the rebooted franchise."

That aside, we know next to nothing about who she's playing, but this first BTS glimpse may provide a few hints.

Thanks to Just Jared we have a first look at Davis in costume on the set of the movie, and as you can see, her heavily-scarred character has seen better days. This might suggest that Davis is playing a resistance fighter in the vein of John Connor or Kyle Reese, but there's always a chance she could be a Terminator.

I used to love the Terminator franchise. Unfortunately, with all the constant reboots I really don’t care anymore.

@Toecutter - this movie should be Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor, Norman Reedus as adult John Connor, and ignore T3, Salvation, and Genesis. Less focus on the timeline and just give us a good thriller/survival horror movie. Throw in a few real life ties to society's dependence on the internet and technology (nothing too heavy handed), yada yada yada, and boom, you got yourself a worthy sequel to T2.

@tb86 - The guy that did 3 also did U-571, which I actually really liked. McG is... McG. And Alan Taylor seems to be one of those guys who works well in TV but kinda drops the ball when it comes to movies.
