The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2

With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow [Donald Sutherland] in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale [Liam Hemsworth], Finnick [Sam Claflin] and Peeta [Josh Hutcherson] – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to liberate the citizens of Panem, and stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 is directed by Francis Lawrence and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Willow Shields, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Julianne Moore, Mahershala Ali, Natalie Dormer, Wes Chatham, Elden Henson and Evan Ross. The movie lands in theaters November 20.

Watch out fellas. There is a guy on eBay claiming to sell authentic used panties of Jena Malone. He's a crook!

1984 meets Battle Royale meets Twilight. At least it's almost over. Studios are probably searching all kinds of stupid teen books to adapt to trilogies and split the last book into two movies, because that's a thing now.

@Jeight

Jennifer Lawrence rocks, she's had a lot of really good roles, when she wants to or needs to really act she can. She was amazing in "Silver Linings Playbook"

@Jeight

I'm with you there, seems like Hollywood adopt her as a poster child, prefabricated talent at their best, Winter's Bone was dope tho.

@TheRealist, you don't know why? I'll explain it to you. She was very good in her role. There. Explained. Hope that helps. People who think she isn't good isn't about opinions, it's about being wrong. It is fact that she's a good actor. You can't say she isn't. You can say you don't like her, but she is an outstanding actor. Fact.

Jennifer Lawrence is an amazing actor.....idk how people can actually think she isn't. Like i said, it's not an opinion.

The lack of action in Mockingjay Part 1 makes me fear that this will be a mess of Man of Steel proportions...

@DrKinsolving The First movie is really good, with the reality shows and tv shit they try to pull out and all this 1984 thing going on, but the second one feels like they have to make it, not because they wanna to, but because they have to, and the third part (this two movies) it feels strange.

This movie feels strange, will pull off strange...

Looks great. These movies have been increasing with each release. I was disappointed in the first one, so it took me a long time to watch Catching Fire. It was outstanding. Mockingjay Part I was a slower film, but it was intense and powerful, and Julianne Moore was phenomenal. I can't wait for this one. Need me some more Natalie Dormer with that incredibly sexy haircut!

This series just isn't for me.

The aesthetics are terrible, the writing bad, the scenarios boring, etc. etc.

I'm all for a kickass Katniss, but there have been so many missteps with this franchise. I didn't even bother seeing the last one.

Most over rated films I have ever seen, the 2nd one was terrible and the last one was awful it was so hard to watch, I felt cheated I paid for it I wanted my money back!

@TheRealist Naomi Watts was definitely not better. I haven't seen Amour so can't judge on that one though i have heard a lot of praise. From the other 4 nominees Lawrence was streaks ahead. Riva could have won, yes, but she didn't. More chance of pigs flying than the Oscars giving the award to a Foreign movie when there's American/English speaking options. It's not a popularity contest at all. Lawrence was worthy of the award, end of.

How could anyone think that Jen Lawrence is a bad actress? I haven't even seen Silver Linings Playbook and I know how good she is. Winter's Bone, American Hustle, she was amazing in both. Has anyone here ever seen The Poker House? If not, I highly recommend it.

The Oscars are not a popularity contest. They're political. Lol.

At least I have an excuse to read the books again. Just finally got my full set of hardcovers. Need a new bookshelf, or a larger house.
