In the near future, a hostile alien race have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander, Mazer Rackham, all would have been lost. In preparation for the next attack, the highly esteemed Colonel Graff and the International Military are training only the best young children to find the future Mazer. Ender Wiggin, a shy, but strategically brilliant boy is pulled out of his school to join the elite.

Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easily masters increasingly difficult war games, distiguising himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soon ordained by Graff as the military's next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he's trained by Mazer Rackham, himself, to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.

Ender's Game stars Asa Butterfield, Harrison Ford, Sir Ben Kingsley, Hailee Steinfeld, Abigail Breslin and Viola Davis. The film is set to hit theaters November 1st.

Another alien invasion flick? That's like three this year so far? A week after this movie, we'll have another alien invasion movie (Thor: TDW).

Sounds like it here: "In the near future, a hostile alien race have attacked Earth."

On Wikipedia, it says that the book is about humans starting up a battle school for children in preparation for a "third invasion" from the Formics aka "buggers".

A few reasons why I'm not interested in seeing this:

The trailer looks bland, I'm not a fan of children (that rarely affects my decision to see a film, but it kind of does here), I never read the book, the author is a giant homophobe, and overall, this movie just does't peak my interest.

If it gets good reviews, I may change my mind, but that's a big "if".

I am not sure what God has to do with your crapy typing

One of my favorite books of all time, very excited to see how
they interpret it for the big screen. Don't agree with author's
Mormon theology but he is a man
of character, courage and kudos
for sticking to his principles and
being willing to suffer for them.
Let the "heathen rage", at least one man has the
nards to stand his ground.

@LuckDragon

I didn't mean it like that. It would have made more sense if I typed "Good God" and didn't use a comma. Besides, I'm an atheist.
