A crash landing leaves teenager Kitai Raige (Jaden Smith) and his legendary father Cypher (Will Smith) stranded on Earth, 1,000 years after cataclysmic events forced humanity’s escape. With Cypher critically injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help, facing uncharted terrain, evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an unstoppable alien creature that escaped during the crash. i never saw this movie because i knew it would suck. it actually sounded really cool when i first heard about it, but then the trailers came out and i was wow this is gonna be bad. this is probably one of the best honest trailers yet lol

funny enough i actually wrote a story about a year or two before this movie came out about a group of people that go back to earth and every creature had evolved into a killing machine, but my story is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. Think Avatar meets Jurassic Park. i actually think i called it After Earth at one point as a working title lol

OMG, Jaden is awful. I haven't seen this movie, and the trailer reaffirmed why... Terrbile acting + Unoriginal Story = Standard Shyamalan Crapfest...

I know what Will is doing, and I can't say I blame him, but Jaden really does not have the same charisma or charm Will had when he first started... on that note, what the heck happened to the charismatic and charming Will Smith we all know... his acting in this looks atrocious.

Ah, not true sir. His worst mistake will almost certainly continue to be signing on to the abomination that was Wild Wild West. Then again, that may turn out to be the smartest career move he'll have made down the line.

No matter how awful movies like After Earth may be to some people, you can always say "yeah, but it wasn't Wild Wild West" and honestly, that right there is enough.

I didnt see this movie in theatres(due to M. Night) but video is hilarious. BTW i dont think turning down the Matrix was will smiths worst mistake. His Biggest was turning down Django Unchained.

This Honest Trailer was funny as SHIT!!!! LMAO!!!! I would not watch this movie. It looks dumb. Both of them have NO talent. Will Smith is boring as hell and Jaden is about as fun as pogo stick. Will Smith ALWAYS wanted to be a movie star and you can see it in his movies more and more. He acts for the money and the fame largely (he admitted it on radio after Hitch was released). He cares less about the art of itself so therefore his performances come out weak as a starving kid in Somalia.

Haters are going to hate, but hating on Will Smith and his son is pathetic. Will Smith no talent really? I see you guys give props to a bunch of hacks on this site (Ann Hathaway, Ben Affleck). I do agree the movie look like shit, but you guys hate on jaden for what reason? I can think of one but dare not to say.

It's one thing to hate on this movie and the god awful Jaden Smith.. But you must be truely hating if you say Will Smith has no talent.. Really? "I am Legend" "7 Pounds" "Pursuit of Happiness" among others. I mean come on.. Will Smith has no talent???

The movie doesn't interest me, it just seem that some people hate jaden cause he's the son of Will Smith. I did see Karate Kid and was entertained, I thought jaden performance was not bad. I enjoyed the remake, mainly cause of Jakie Chan and the original was a child favorite. And whats the point of being a powerful entertainment mogul if you can't throw your weight around, he's not the only one that do.

i saw the movie last week but i thought it was a good movie. only the storyline was a little bit on the weak side. further then that it was enjoyable
