Viewtiful Joe was one of my favourite Gamecube games and while I'm dissapointed we haven't seen a new game in the franchise, I wanted to show my ideas for who would be involved in a hypothetical live action adaption of the Capcom action game.
DIRECTOR: Edgar Wright
Fans of
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World will know that Edgar has a great eye for video game-esque visuals and I think his style would work well for Viewtiful Joe; especially with the Slo-Mo or Sped Up segments.
Domnhall Gleeson as Joe/Viewtiful Joe
While I considered
Seth Green and
Alan Tudyk for the role; I think that Green is a bit limited as an actor and Tudyk is too old (although a deade ago I'd think he would be perfect for the role). When you look at Domnhall Gleeson's resume it's easy to see why he could not only bring the neccesary wit and humor to the role that he brought to Bill Weasly in the Harry Potter films but he also has flexed his drama muscle with
Ex Machina and he'll likely blow us away (literally) in
Star Wars: The Force Awakens. With his resume he'd not only make Joe fun but interesting.
Emily Bett Rickards as Sylvia/Sexy Sylvia
Not only is Emily a good actress, but I'm pretty sure if you cast her in the role, she'd easily put the 'Sexy' in Sexy Sylvia.
William Hurt as Captain Blue
With multiple credits under his name, and the look to match the character; in my eyes Hurt is a no-brainer for Captain Blue.
Lee Pace as Alastor
A recurring anti-hero in the
Viewtiful Joe universe. You need an actor like Lee Pace who can play the character as someone who's both an antagonist and a force for good and I think Lee could pull off the multiple facets of the character.

Steve Blum as Fire Leo
