With less than a week to go, Marvel Studios has released a pair of awesome new TV spots for their eagerly awaited blockbuster Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, featuring a few snippets of never-before-seen footage as Shang (Simu Liu) leaps into action against his father Wenwu (Tony Leung) and attempts to save the world from unspeakable evil.

In our review of the movie, we said, "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is a genuine triumph for Marvel Studios, a true family drama with plenty of charm and a myriad of winning performances from the outstanding cast led by Simu Liu and Tony Leung. It opens a whole new world of possibilities for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and will hopefully leaving you dreaming of the countless mystical directions the story could go next…"

Fortunately, there isn't anything particularly spoiler-y here, just some quick shots of the film's many standout fight sequences and a few spotlight quotes from critics - including yours truly.

Plus, we also have a new featurette that gives you an awesome behind-the-scenes look at the film. You can check everything out below:

So when we had Iron Man everything was too unrealistic to add to his movies.. Shang chi comes along and we got pokemon running around everywhere

@Matchesz - At this point we're so invested we'll take anything. Also, there's *a lot* less risk involved.

Seeing it the Monday or Tuesday after it opens.

Also, saw Candyman tonight. Some problems, but overall liked it a lot.

I’m excited but really concerned - I know a bunch of people who are not going for a multitude of reasons, like Covid and also that they don’t know any of these people. They are way more excited for eternals (big stars and an amazing trailer). Can’t see more flicks suffer because I really enjoyed suicide squad and that didn’t muster crap and hoping Shang chi gets at least fiddy mil. If it’s below 40 I don’t know what that says about movies for the future. Cross fingers!!!

@TheHummus - Covid will probably play a big factor, sadly. Guardians was pretty unknown name even amongst comic book fans, that did well.

Fingers crossed that Shang-Chi does well, where it can - Simu's been urging people to check it out, where they safely can.

@TheHummus - not go theater for COVID is stupid people can go food shopping where strangers are in kissing distance of each other and people pick up stuff and put it back on shelf they don’t want , theater is safer at least follow guide lines unlike some stores don’t sanitary there self cash out section

@dragon316 - As INSANE as that all sounds, you do have a point about just as readily catching Covid at the supermarket (perhaps even more so) if cinemas clean after each showing?

I am still 50/50 on going in theaters.

I'm leaning going to a matinee mid week so it isn't overly crowded, but I fricking need to see this and Eternals.

@Menks123 - I feel like past lowest movie attendance times will be filled to capacity due to your logic.

@Menks123 - Weekday matinees are always my favorite time to see any film, as I don't like crowds (and never did).

But, I also don't like spoilers (or staying off the internet to avoid them), so for the MCU films, I go on the opening (Thursday) nights. I watched Black Widow at home on Disney+ because I don't like crowds and the option was there.

Not sure with this new one, but tickets aren't selling very well. Normally, MCU films sell out on opening (Thursday) nights within minutes, but I waited two weeks before I went online to purchase a ticket, and only ONE ticket had sold so far for the Thursday night, 8:00 p.m. showing. Granted, there were several rooms showing this film at the theater where I'm going, but, still.

I hope the best for it.
