Shazam! Fury of the Gods is fast approaching, and with David F. Sandberg recently confirming that a new trailer will be released before the end of January, excitement for the sequel is starting to build.

A new batch of character posters has found their way online today, offering a new look at each member of the Shazam Family. Interestingly, they've all been given nicknames, with Billy Batson appropriately dubbed "The Champion," and the rest of the team's monikers tied to their respective personalities or powers.

For example, we have Mary Bromfield ("The Brains"), Darla ("The Speed"), Freddy Freeman ("The Nerd"), Eugen Choi ("The Gamer"), and Pedro Pena ("The Muscle").

The team had only a very minor role in Shazam!, so we're sure this sequel is going to spend more time exploring their abilities and what they bring to the table as superheroes. This time, Grace Caroline Currey will pull double duty as both Mary Bromfield and Mary Marvel, something fans are incredibly excited about after she was sidelined back in 2019.

Check out these new character posters for Shazam! Fury of the Gods below.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word "SHAZAM!," is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.

The sequel's cast includes Zachary Levi as Shazam, Asher Angel as Billy Batson, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, Adam Brody as Super Hero Freddy, Ross Butler as Super Hero Eugene, Meagan Good as Super Hero Darla, D.J. Cotrona as Super Hero Pedro, Grace Caroline Currey as Mary Bromfield/Super Hero Mary.

Djimon Hounsou returns as the Wizard, while Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu, and Helen Mirren have all joined the movie as newly created villains.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods is set to be released on March 17, 2023.

I'll be honest. If mary's shirt wasn't so short, I'd have no interest at all in this movie.

The first movie was terrible and the second doesn't look much better,it actually looks worse.

Mark Strong was a good villain in the first film. The trailer for the sequel leads me to believe we might be going a little more power rangers direction than serious villain versus childish super heroes.

Yeah, pretty sure these are fan made. Just look under Freddy Freeman: They didn’t even edit out “The Champion” properly before writing “The Nerd” over it 😂 Jesus, come on Josh…
