China is finally allowing American blockbusters to be released in the country, and Shazam! Fury of the Gods is among the handful of titles confirmed for a debut in the Middle Kingdom this year.
Today, we have an eye-catching new poster to share with you that highlights the impressive ensemble. Shazam himself, Zachary Levi, is front and centre and recently opened up about his future in the DCU.
DC Studios hasn't shied away from cutting fan-favourite actors from the rebooted shared world, though Peter Safran's involvement with the Shazam! franchise has led to many assuming Levi is likely safe (their families even recently went on vacation together). The actor, however, isn't counting his chickens quite yet.
"There's definitely little ideas here and there that I brought up in the past. I'm sure I'm gonna sit down with James and Peter soon enough, and we'll talk about what we think the trajectory of all this will be," he tells Den of Geek. "The success of the second movie will determine a lot."
There doesn't appear to be a huge amount of hype surrounding the Shazam! follow-up, so next month promises to be an interesting one for the movie.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word "SHAZAM!," is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.
Bestowed with the powers of the gods, Billy Batson and his fellow foster kids are still learning how to juggle teenage life with having adult Super Hero alter-egos. But when the Daughters of Atlas, a vengeful trio of ancient gods, arrive on Earth in search of the magic stolen from them long ago, Billy - aka Shazam - and his family are thrust into a battle for their superpowers, their lives, and the fate of their world.
The sequel's cast includes Zachary Levi as Shazam, Asher Angel as Billy Batson, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, Adam Brody as Super Hero Freddy, Ross Butler as Super Hero Eugene, Meagan Good as Super Hero Darla, D.J. Cotrona as Super Hero Pedro, Grace Caroline Currey as Mary Bromfield/Super Hero Mary.
Djimon Hounsou returns as the Wizard, while Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu, and Helen Mirren have all joined the movie as newly created villains.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods is set to be released on March 17, 2023.
