As promotion for Shazam! Fury of the Gods continues to pick up ahead of its March release date, Den of Geek has shared a new look at the DC Comics sequel.
The magazine cover spotlights the Big Red Cheese himself (Zachary Levi) alongside the powerful Daughters of Atlas, Hespera (Helen Mirren), Kalypso (Lucy Liu) and Anthea/Athena (Rachel Zegler).
These characters have their basis in Greek mythology, and don't actually have any specific comic book counterparts. There was some backlash when it was announced that they'd serve as this movie's villains, but they certainly appear to be formidable foes for the Shazam Family.
Check out the cover below, along with the most recent trailer.
"Bestowed with the powers of the gods, Billy Batson and his fellow foster kids are still learning how to juggle teenage life with having adult Super Hero alter-egos. But when the Daughters of Atlas, a vengeful trio of ancient gods, arrive on Earth in search of the magic stolen from them long ago, Billy—aka Shazam—and his family are thrust into a battle for their superpowers, their lives, and the fate of their world."
From New Line Cinema comes Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!,” is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.
