Samuel L. Jackson Confirms Return As Nick Fury; Will We See Him In SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME?

Samuel L. Jackson has taken to social media to confirm that he'll be making his return as the classic version of Nick Fury (albeit with a new beard, it seems) but what movie will he be appearing in?

Well, it looks like Nick Fury will be crossing paths with Spider-Man in the wall-crawler's sequel next year! As you can see below, Samuel L. Jackson has confirmed that he's in the UK - presumably at Leavesden Studios seeing as he's tagged his location as Watford - and that he's making his return as Nick Fury. However, it looks like the former S.H.I.E.L.D. Director will be rocking some facial hair.

In the Instagram slideshow, the actor shared a photo of a wig which definitely looks like a beard and quite a bit bigger than his normal goatee. Does that business card confirm that S.H.I.E.L.D. will return after Avengers 4, though? Possibly but the main talking point here is the fact that Fury is back and that he'll almost certainly appear in Spider-Man: Far From Home (which is shooting in the UK) next year.

It is, of course, possible that Fury is just there to shoot some additional scenes for Captain Marvel but that seems highly unlikely considering the fact production has only just ended and that it's far too soon for reshoots. Also, he'll be much younger in that movie as it's set in the 1990s. How do you think Fury will become involved with Spidey and Mysterio? Be sure to let us know your thoughts down below.

As crazy excited as I am for Avengers 4, I am more excited to see the next saga of the MCU post-Avengers 4. To imagine another set of films where Captain Marvel, a potentially new Captain America, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and others will be leading the charge is ridiculously exciting. Can't wait to see the status quo continue to change. And some things, like Nick Fury, never change. Hope this is Jackson's return to the role in a big way.

@VicSage - yeah it’s so exciting. I just feel that the current roster still has lots of potential though :(

@Demba - more so now than ever, but it's always best to move into new territory when you still have a smile on your face.

@VicSage - I hope shield doesn't come back, it really makes all government interactions way too easy to ignore... though if it's timed up well with the ending of AOS and this mini reboot we seem destined for, it would be a great chance to actually have AOS in its entirety be canon due to the reset

@Kevwebsz - Do small parts in Thor and Avengers Infinity War count though?

As much as I wouldn't want anyone "mentoring" Peter either way, I would have taken the pitch of Fury in that role over Stark any day. Peter and Tony are just way too close for my tastes.

The third photo, is that how furys scar always looked? Like three scratches across his eye?
If the scar has changed, then that means the way he got the injury changed... in the past 🤔

6:30am and I'm already speculating

@Vigor - It's hard to see in the movies, but that's how it's always looked.
