Sony Pictures has finally released a new trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and it sees Miles Morales cross paths with a lot of Spider-Men (and women) who don't appear to be his biggest fans!

December is usually a pretty good month for trailers and, as promised, Sony Pictures has unveiled a new look at Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse!

The highly anticipated sequel had been scheduled for release this past October before being pushed to summer 2023. If what we see here is any indication, though, the follow-up to 2018's Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is going to be worth the wait.

While quite a bit of the teaser consists of footage from the previous movie (making us wonder how much work is left to be done on the sequel), we get spectacular new looks at Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Woman, the return of Peter B. Parker, and countless Spider-Man Variants who we're sure fans will spend hours attempting to identify.

For starters, we've also spotted the two video game Spider-Men and the Bombastic Bag-Man!

Check out the new trailer below.

In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, after reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Manis catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence.

However,  when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

In terms of confirmed cast members, the movie will star Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Oscar Isaac, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Jason Schwartzman, Daniel Kaluuya, Shea Whigham, Jorma Taccone, Luna Lauren Vélez, and Brian Tyree Henry.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse swings into theaters on June 2, 2023.

Was it just me or did if feel like more than half of that trailer was just footage from the first movie?

@RalphBohner - It wasn't you. All the footage during the mom's speech was from the first one.

@RalphBohner - I think they tryna limit footage not to give away the plot, better that way imo. I don't need a trailer to see this in cinema, i just need a snippet and I'm in

@RalphBohner - yeah, but I don’t mind it. It showed enough new stuff and I’m kind of sick of films spoiling the entire film in the trailers.

Completely off topic but $&!@ Warner Brothers Discovery. Those penny pinching a-holes. I’m not sure the future of that company looks too pleasant.

This is no way at all calling out the movie but I’m curious wouldn’t spiderman 2099 get his ass kicked by almost any spiderman? He doesn’t have the spider sense, has light sensitive eyes, and can’t crawl on surfaces without his spikes. Again not calling out the movie I just have troubles believing he’s the “tough” guy.

@TheFireForce - They might deviate from the comics and not be 100% true to how it is in the comics

@TheFireForce - he has extra powers that make up for it. He’s faster than Spider-Man and has near-daredevil hearing. So he doesn’t get alerted that a threat is about to be on top of him, but he does know the threat is there before the threat even knows

Into The SpiderVerse and the recent SpiderMan games have been more enjoyable than the tom holland movies tbh
