"The goal on Spider-Man was to invent a very flexible bodysuit that created a lean, muscular body form beneath the form-fitting spandex. It also required a very specific streamlined shell to project heroic facial structure beneath the hood. In this early test, custom printed shadows and highlights help define the sculpted muscles. Although toned down in later iterations, this first test was an exciting success." - StudioADI

Spider-Man (2002) was directed by Sam Raimi ("Oz: The Great and Powerful"), from a script written by David Koepp. The cast included: Tobey Maguire, Willem Dafoe, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Cliff Robertson, and Rosemary Harris. The film had a budget of $140 million, and earned $821 million at the worldwide box office.

Not trying to be a troll or anything. I've actually liked all the Spidey suits we've gotten on screen.

Reeves is more comicbooky, but I feel that spider-man's suit was able to translate the comic to movie without it looking (no offense) silly.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939

Eh, you're probably right. To be honest, as a comic book fan, I guess I'm desensitised to the silliness, so I assume the comic costumes will always work. That's why I want to see Spidey, Wolvie, and Batman's straight of out comic costumes so badly on screen.

i love this kind of stuff! I think the Raimi Spider-Man suits was done to perfection. The new one sucks in my opinion. It was funny i watched the whole thing and then at the end i was like "Holy shit it was Tobey in the suit!" haha
