Amazing New Set Photos Show More Practical Spider-Man Web Swinging Effects!

Hit the jump to take a look at four new photos which truly show how they're bringing the comic book character to life in high up, high risk web swinging stunts filmed last night...

The Daily Mail reports that it was not clear whether it was in fact Andrew Garfield or a stuntman in the costume, but reveal that the practical effects featured Spider-Man swinging on a wire from a much greater height than in the photos from a couple of days ago.

With an all star cast that includes Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy, Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben and Sally Field as Aunt May, The Amazing Spider-Man is set to be released in 3D on July 3, 2012!

Not impressed, I prayed those stupid Nike shoes were just a pre-filming cock up, they are really going to run that shit?

Why do they choose to make these changes for no good reason besides to make me cry.

He also looks to shiny.

The swinging action looks good tho.

he looks stiff because these are photographs lol, i sort of see what you mean though. Spidey should be doing yoga poses mid air the way todd mcfarlane drew him, super flexible. We'll see how these practical effects hold up in motion.

Maybe he needs those shoes to jump higher, now that every movie it's made based reality.

Finally something I like about this movie. The photos look great and I'm curious how the action will appear on screen.

Some folks are still harping about the costume and the "shoes"! I thought they made it clear that most of the reason it looks off is because it's designed specifically to assist the 3D process. The final product is going to look different so why can't we reserve judgement until we see the final product? Just a thought.

great poses, suit still sucks. hate how the red front just 'dead ends', looks really off. they really should have put in the 'belt'. I don't mind the other changes, but that front just.....fails.

I simply can't get into that costume. Fortunate for all of us a bad costume alone doesn't make a movie bad. Can't wait to see what The Lizard looks like!

would everyone stop complaining about the suit? when you see these images do you not instantly notice that its spiderman? do you think people who aren't fans wouldn't be able to say oh yeah thats spiderman! This is the suit so get used to it! im tired of seeing people say over and over. this movie is shit, or the suit is [frick]ing stupid, or the shoes bla blah blah. IN THE END OF EVERYTHING... IT IS STILL SPIDERMAN AND IT WILL BE GOOD! nowadays they cant afford to [frick] up comic book adaptions... besides constant sequels of movies comic book movies are al hollywood has anymore

Still dislike the Nikes (come on, they did better footwear for Spidey in the 70's live-action series), but I do like the old-school style web swinging shown here. Sometimes the old-style effects just work better than CGI.

If they were going for "crappy suit that looks like it could've been thrown together by teenage boy," they succeeded. Unfortunately, in succeeding they made it look like crap.

This costume approach is no different to what Nolan did with Batman. The only difference is, spidey's suit is very particular and has been unchanged in comics with few exceptions. Bottom line, it's a reboot and 21st century. It's updated for a new waive of films and no different than when Nolan kept changing bat's threads. Just accept it bc it's not going to change bc of all your whining. We might've actually getting a closer to comic flick! Isn't that a good thing? And webshooters!

And who cares about a belt? His weapons are in his wrist! And he's super strong. Hell, I wouldn't give superman a belt if I did the flick.

@THICKframes Wow, pretty much everything you said is completely wrong.
A) The fact that you can recognize the suit as Spider-man does not inherently make it good. I can recognize Spider-Man pajamas from Wal-Mart as Spider-Man too, why not put Garfield in those?
B) The fact that the movie is about Spider-Man does not immediately mean it will be good. *coughspiderman3cough*
C) If they can't afford to frick up comic book adaptations anymore, then why the frick are they fricking so many of them up? Fricking up a comic book movie has, can and will happen as long as they make them.
D) You forgot rehashed 80's movie and TV franchises and children's books.

actually looking forward to this movie!

but I hate the guy playing Parker in this cause he
looks like a douchey offspring of a giraffe and a twilight bonerchewer.

imma have to agree with @beetheb, you can tell it was thrown together by a teenage boy, just look at the crotch, it's dirty from all the masturbation.

I also see a new sport that he could be suited up like for, sort of an amalgamation of:
Baseball, Wrestling, S&M, Bondage

only gayer.

This looks pretty good, hopefully when the trailer hits it will renew my faith, until then I'm cautious. I really want my witty SPiderman. I hope they dont make him all angst again.
