A anonymous tipster sent the below info into SuperHeroHype via LatinoReview:

"I talked to Bendis today.

Yeah, I met him at Emerald City ComiCon in Seattle, it was awesome. Got a picture, and a signature. Awesome guy, I ate some of his cookies. Was thirty minutes late though.. I asked him really quickly about the reboot, I told him to "give a lot of good ideas to the movie, just please make sure its really good". (Sorry to all the Ultimate-SM haters).

He told me, "From what I've heard it's going to be exactly like this (pointing to my Volume 1 of Ultimate Spider-Man". ("Verbatim")

.. So. Yay!"

I guess that means we could get a mutated Green Goblin at the end of the first flick? Your guess is as good as mine. Sorry Non Ultimate fans but at least we are getting away from Raimi's Green Goblin Power Ranger outfit. With James Cameron helping with visual effects you can bet we will get a more Comic realistic version of Gobby this time around!

Shaman - I with you on this one. Ultimate Spidey got me interested in Spider-man all over again. I'm not crazy about the rest of the Ultimate U. but I think Bendis got it right with Spidey.

i liked how he made Norman "change into" the goblin instead of putting on a suit. but i think they should have him morph into something more like the original green goblin. that would look more iconic on screen.

i just hope it's close to the "spectacular spider-man" series. which i thought took all of the good aspects of regular spidey and ultimate. like tell the old tale with modern twists. don't change up everything for the sake of changing it. the only ultimate spidey stuff i read was the carnage stuff and i hated how they changed him. i've read other ultimate book from marvel and while they do tell ok stories i hate the changes the make to most of the characters. mainly the bad guys.

im not looking forward to this as much as other CBMs. i would rather have spider-man 4. (tho not the one we heard they were doing- yikes!)

i just hope people don't see the trailer for this and say "what the hell? that's it, i'm done with super hero movies" - i don't think this will be received well at first.

I really enjoy Ultimate Spider-Man, only thing I didn't like was what they did with Green Goblin. Basically Hulk throwing fireballs at you, not a fan, otherwise I love the rest of it.

Dont worry, I dont think it will end up being an exact conversion of Ultimate Spiderman, just bits borrowed here and there to keep it fresh. (The original borrowed bits here an there too'):-)

I also dont think that they'll put the goblin in it from get go, because itl confuse those who arnt quite "with" all these reboots an restarts that are happening now a days.
+ Im pretty sure they wont do the mutant green goblin thingy because its pretty lame :-P.

Positive :-D ...... "till it all goes wrong" :-Phehe.

It doesn't matter to me either way they decide to go. Not much of a fan of rebooting. If they keep rebooting movies, we never are going to get into the real development of the story and other villains.

@MTL- USM is only a good comic, it shouldn;t be brought to the big screen...because there's no point. We never got 616 adapted films the last time so why not now? Why not be more faithful to the source material when it's predessesors weren;t? Ultimate is boring as hell. It's just a lot of yapping about being a geek....so what?! LOL I just don;t like Ultimate Universe very much, ironically besides the Ultimate Spider-Man series.

LOL LEEE. Thanks for keeping it brief ;-) I don't love it all, but I can see what they were trying to do. He was given free reign over the material and changed some shit up. Some of it I enjoyed simply because it was a different take on characters but it was kept separate from regular continuity so I saw no harm in it. Some of it I really disliked (such as Omega Red, that guy is such a puss in the Ultimate U.) But I like the new take on GG. I'm not saying it better than the original (NO WAY!!!), but it had one of those "alternate worlds" feel to it and I chose to look past it because the take on Spidey felt fresh and I love the dialog cause it was funny and contemporary. It also made GG a more opposing foe and the only thing they changed was the physical transformation, the character of Norman Osborn was still intact.

Elle1980 - I think you are right. I doubt they would incorporate everything from U. Spidey and to bring back GG so soon and so different would be confusing to movie goers.

i just wonder how many people that say Ultimate Spidey sucks, have actually read it, and not just make judgements based on pics. because Ultimate Spidey is very well received by most comic fans. hell, it was so good that it jumpstarted the entire Ultimate Universe. if it really sucked that bad, they wouldn't have even bothered with the rest of the Ultimate line of books...

Personally, I think Mutated Goblin would translate better on screen than classic or Power Ranger Goblin.

I'm with you on this one dude. We may not agree on Captain America Casting but at least we both enjoy Ultimate Spidey.

I am personally looking forward to the reboot it it's Ultimate Spidey. Ultimate > 616 IMO, Peter Parker is more likable and relate-able. Venom makes more sense, since you can't have secret Wars referenced in a Movie. The Villains have more interesting backgrounds and traits (lets face it a lot of Spidey's rogue gallery needed reworked.. To each their own though.

Skot888 - Yes, without the benefit of Secret Wars, the Ultimate Venom makes more sense. I also missed young Peter, with the whole still getting used to being Spidey feel and the humor was dead on. One of the biggest issues I had with the movies is how unfunny Spidey is. On the Ultimate books though, I am at times literally laughing out loud. Just the fat jokes on Kingpin alone are hilarious!!!
