@dethpillow Aunt May didn't need to have outlived her purpose. During JMS run she was clearly and fantastically brought into the modern world as a strong and active supporting character in Peter's life. After OMD all of that character development was stripped away so now all people see is someone who only had real relevance decades ago in the old days of the comic. Which is really sad and one of the major reasons I haven't bothered much with actually paying for any Spider-Man comic since OMD.

This is not a character who has outlived her relevance. This is clearly a character capable of evolving.

Someone who isn't as helpless as her frailty makes her appear.


Someone who wouldn't drop over at finding out the truth.


Someone who can call out Peter's bull$h!t on why he never told her.


And someone with a sense of humor even in the face of danger.

I'm not sure about those little winglets the Prowler has attached to his arms (what are they? They're too small to be wings, and I'd like to think that they serve some purpose) though it looks pretty awesome.

He's one of the only clawed, mysterious-looking characters that didn't look like a clone of McFarlane's Spawn (I know the Prowler came way earlier, though he never received the fame that Spawn did).
