SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME - Kevin Feige Reveals Why The Wall-Crawler Travels Overseas In The Sequel

We've known for a while now that a large part of Spider-Man: Far From Home will take place outside of the United States and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has now revealed why. Read on for details...

With shooting on Spider-Man: Far From Home set to begin in roughly two weeks from now according to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, we can probably expect to see plenty of set photos and casting details start finding their way online in the coming months. While we've known for a while that the wall-crawler will be spending a lot of time in London and Paris, we haven't been told why that is.

Well, Feige reveals that it's because Peter Parker and his friends will be going abroad for summer vacation and seeing as he died in Avengers: Infinity War, it's fair to say Spidey will need some time away after that! "Well, when does that movie take place? We know it’s the summer. I think it’s summer vacation. I think he’s going to Europe with his friends. I don’t know what summer... I mean, I do know [but you don’t]." There is, of course, still a chance that this is a field trip related to school.

Time will tell on that front but Spider-Man crossing paths with Mysterio while he's visiting these countries is definitely an interesting coincidence; perhaps he goes on this trip just so he can track Quentin Beck down? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts on these remarks in the comments section below and stay tuned for updates on Far From Home as and when we have them.

Was talking about this with my boyfriend and I mentioned how, ya know, Spidey..ahem... and I my son STILL has PTSD from it. He pointed at me and said "Don't you even!! Don't you even say it mom!" He's not a soft kid but sheesh. Hell, if I think about it too much, i get sads all over again too. Damn that movie is amazing.

That's the power of Marvel.

@PrincessLeather - When I was 12 and read the civil war comic, I was so upset when spiderman revealed his secret identity.

I was still naive to the ways comics worked so I assumed this would last forever.

I dunno why it made me so sad. I felt like crying. Like they stripped away a huge part of who spiderman was. That everyone would know his name and that he wasn't special anymore.

I really hated Iron man in the comics after that. I still loved the movie version. It wouldn't be until years later when I checked back in that I saw his identity had returned.

Omg what if that school bus Peter was on in Infinity war, was taking them to the airport (can anyone confirm what time of the year infinity war takes place?).

What if the effects of avengers 4 erases what thanos did but also erases the heroes who died in avengers 4. And everyone who never confronted thanos just picks up from where they were and whatever they were doing before the Q shaped ship appeared over NYC. Strange and Wong go get food down the street, Peter goes to his trip, black panther continues ruling Wakanda, the Asgardian refugee ship never gets destroyed, etc

I'm kidding I don't rly think that will happen but it's nice to wonder about 😏
