SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Rumor Sheds Some Light On What The Deal Is With That "Stealth" Suit

Tom Holland's Spider-Man has been spotted wearing what appears to be a black stealth suit on the set of Far From Home and a new report seemingly sheds some light on what the deal with that costume is...

We've been treated to a lot of photos and videos from the set of Spider-Man: Far From Home recently, including a first look at Jake Gyllenhaal's Mysterio. However, many of these raise more questions than they do answers about what's to come in the sequel, including Peter Parker being decked out in a black stealth suit of some sort. However, some new details about that have seemingly been revealed.

According to MCU Cosmic, the new suit is going to be red and black and it may or may not be able to turn completely black to become a "stealth suit." However, this won't necessarily be a totally new creation; instead, it sounds like the Spider-Man: Homecoming costume is simply getting a slight redesign and, as many fans theorised, Peter will just discover that it has some new capabilities.

Looking back at some Spider-Man: Homecoming concept art we shared earlier this year, it's easy to see where this idea could have come from and seeing as the wall-crawler will be swinging around some different countries, he'll need to hide his identity because otherwise
there's a risk people will figure out that Peter Parker and Spider-Man are one and the same. What do you guys think? Sound off below.

I never cared for the Big Time suit in the comics, but I did play the PS4 game with it on for a fairly long time. It really works in the game with that rubbery texture on it.

As for the MCU, I would love for Peter to get something like a suitcase-sized Stark-tech fabricator that lets him design and build his own tailor-made suits. The engineering is his, but the case does the printing.

The needle-and-thread routine just doesn't make a whole lot of sense in a modern superhero film. And Melvin Potter is only one man.

@Spock0Clock - I wouldnt mind if they took the ps4 route as in he joins a lab or breaks into oscorp and makes it that way . Stark works too though.

Also is karen in his suit anymore? Genuine question.

@Spock0Clock - Jennifer Connolly robot voice in the spidermans suit. Not like Karen from dd in the suit, that would highly odd.

@ThePeterCipher - Oh, sorry. For some reason I was thinking of Karen Page because of the Melvin Potter reference. I've got you now.

I assume she's there, and I hope she is. Somehow, someway, I want Karen to someday be the MCU Jocasta.

@Spock0Clock - We can hope only hope. I would even suggest putting her inside the iron man suit or as female ultron. I don't even mind it's not comic accurate, she formed an odd motherly friend bond with peter that you don't normaly see

A stealth suit with fluorescent green highlights?
WTF--??

@rocketeuropa - It bends light and makes him invisible i believe.

@rocketeuropa - Black Widow's glowing suit in Age of Ultron didn't make sense for that very reason, considering she's a stealth operative (in the scene before Wanda screws with their minds.)

@MosquitoFarmer - Tony said it himself. "It looks cool."

Sigh. Spideys main suit being known as the Stark suit hurts my soul.

@Kevwebsz - I think of it just a model of one of this suits. Like mark 1 or so. Or the tech suit.

This Homecoming suit is ridiculous for Peter's first... I'm just sick of it.

Hmm kinda hoped he wouldn't rely on Tony's tech anymore but lets see.. can still be good.

Spider-Man PS4 actually kind of made me like the suit even more. Still hoping that he gets a new one though

@MeAreLegend - This. Exactly. After putting in about 20 hours into the Spider-Man PS4 game, I found myself always going back to the HC or "Stark Suit".

While yes, there are some scenes in Civil War and Homecoming where the suit looks terribly animated/CGI'd, but I actually have grown to really like the Stark suit. Well, the exterior at least. Not too keen on all the Stark tech inside. But that's a whole different conversation.

I think the black lines make the suit unique vs. all the other interpretations of the classic red/blue suit, while still envoking the JRJR and Ditko elements of the suit. That mask is seriously gorgeous with those expressive eyes.

@MarDCel - It's gorgeous on screen and the "telephoto" lens for the eyes was a wonderful choice. A nice little nod to Peter's photography roots. And when I say black lines, I don't mean the "webbing". The black lines that break up the red from the blue around his waist down to his feet and along his arms.
