Right now, the focus is very much on Wonder Woman but once that movie hits theaters we can expect Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures to start pushing Spider-Man: Homecoming in a big way. The marketing campaign has, of course, been in full effect for a while and the wall-crawler is placed front and centre on this cover for the latest issue of Cine Premiere. Yeah, that's Iron Man in the background. 

Still, you can't blame the marketing team for making Avengers Tower such a focal point as the fact Spider-Man: Homecoming is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the reboot's biggest draw! 

Starring Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., and almost countless others, Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts and will be released on July 7th, this year.

I don't know why, but I have the feeling that this movie won't be the perfect Spider-Man movie fans hoped for. Lets be honest, The Amazing Spider-Man made $709 million at the Box Office. Sony concidered that number too low, that's one of the reasons why Sony started to talk with Marvel for a deal. I am a little bit afraid this third reboot won't make that much money, and I some way I believe Sony and Marvel are feeling that same thing too, because that's the reason they are so heavingly marketing all the Marvel / The Avengers and Iron Man references, I guess. All in all, this film is still Sony abusing Marvel. I bet Sony will take their hands back when this film doesn't perfom as they wished for.

Spiderman trailer gets good reactions in the cinema, sure to us it looks like Sony are doing a bad job with the marketing but to the GA they're doing just fine.

Marvel and Sony's big joint venture, Spider-Man: Homecoming is the current king of social media buzz - in the week leading up to the release of DC Comics' Wonder Woman movie, ironically enough.

According to Variety, Spider-Man: Homecoming generated around 175,000 new conversations on social media last week, thanks to the debut of a new trailer, new international trailer, and that infamous new poster that the Internet tore to shreds.

Following behind Spider-Man was the next Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi, which generated 120,000 new convos off of its major first look feature in Vanity Fair. Meanwhile, Wonder Woman generated 100,000 new mentions, as first reactions to the film hit The Web.

people keep saying that the marketing is terrible but it really isn't when you think about it. it isn't great by any means but we are so plugged into this stuff that wee see all of it. Most of the people who aren't on these sites will see about a third of the marketing material for the movie.
