While it was rumored to arrive tomorrow, Sony Pictures have announced that the new trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will actually arrive on Tuesday, April 4.

The film's plot remains shrouded in mystery, but we'd imagine the new trailer will reveal the apocalyptic-level threat Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) and Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) find themselves up against, which seems to also involve a lot of Spider-People led by Miguel O'Hara (Oscar Isaac) as the latest bit of footage again sees Miles being chased by the whole Spider-Family.

The Across the Spider-Verse cast will feature the voice talents of Oscar Isaac (Miguel O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099), Shameik Moore (Miles Morales/Spider-Man), Hailee Steinfeld (Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman), Jake Johnson (Peter B. Parker/Spider-Man), Brian Tyree Henry (Jefferson Davis), Luna Lauren Vélez (Rio Morales), Issa Rae (Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman), Jason Schwartzman (Spot), Rachel Dratch (Counselor), Shea Whigham (George Stacy), Jorma Taccone (Vulture), Greta Lee (Lyla), and Karan Soni (Pavitr Prabhakar/Spider-Man India)

The film will also introduce a ton of new Spider-People, including, but not limited to, the Japanese Spider-Man, Scarlet Spider, Spider-Man PS4, Spectacular Spider-Man, Spider-Man Unlimited, Spider-Byte, Superior Spider-Man, Spider-Wolf, and there are even heavy rumblings that Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland will make cameos as their respective live-action Spideys.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse swings exclusively into theaters on June 2, 2023.

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse debuts in theaters June 2, 2023.

@Antitrollpatrol - I'd probably swap Indiana Jones or Oppenheimer for Barbie, but otherwise I agree.

Also look forward to the new Transformers a lot too. Don't know if I'll catch on the big screen though. June/July is already packed enough.

@bkmeijer1 - definitely catching Oppenheimer

@bkmeijer1 - I have a hard time getting excited for Nolan movies since dunkirk. I’ll probably get crap for my opinion but I think he’s a little overrated which he does make great films but just a little overrated. Jones will probably be good but I just hope it’s more in line with raiders than crystal skull.

@Antitrollpatrol - yeah, Dunkirk and Tenet weren't his best. But still, a movie about The Manhattan Project and the creator of the atomic bomb is something I'd definitely watch. Regardless who directs it.

As for Indy, I hope so too. And I think that titular Dial of Destiny is the Antikythera Mechanism (a device for astronomy and eclipses), so I don't expect extradimensional aliens.

Trailers for trailers annoy me more than get me hype, but I am looking forward to this movie.

@comicfan100 - yeah. I don't like how we've romanticized trailers themselves. We treat them as like a lesser version of the movie, when all it really is is advertising.

bkmeijer1 - 4/2/2023, 5:56 PM
@comicfan100 - what I really don't like are the 5-second trailers at the beginning of a trailer telling me I'm watching a trailer now

Didn’t know Hailee was Gwen Stacy in this. From Hawkeye’s protege to Gwen Stacy…the multiverse is wild fr.

@Frshcoupe - suppose it's the other way around since Into the Spider-Verse was released first.

Didn't know it first it was Hailee either though. Couldn't really tell it was her voice when watching the movie for the first time

So I loved the first movie and I’m looking forward to the sequel but . . . .

@RolandD -
You could substitute Super or Bat for Spider-.
Between versions in universe and from the Multiverse it just gets to be too much for me.

Pffft... NO. I'm not using a Spider-Man article as an excuse to show off my Photo Mode pics from Spider-Man Remastered on PC. Like Come on. Why would I do something like that.

I mean

The notion

That I would waste your time

With unrelated pics

is frankly

insulting

Good day sir
