MADAME WEB Honest Trailer Holds Nothing Back And Takes Aim At Dakota Johnson's Inability To Open A Pepsi Can

The Honest Trailer for Madame Web is finally here and, unsurprisingly, it doesn't go easy on Sony's latest Marvel movie, taking aim at the dialogue, direction, and Dakota Johnson's awkward line delivery.

We've been waiting on this, but the Honest Trailer for Madame Web is finally here and it's fair to say it holds nothing back.

There's plenty for the Screen Junkies team to make fun of, including Dakota Johnson's terrible line delivery and her apparent inability to open a can of Pepsi. The movie's bizarre dialogue ("Don't do dumb things!") also comes under fire, as does Ezekiel Sims' ADR-heavy dialogue.

Director SJ Clarkson also doesn't escape their wrath and neither does the fact Madame Web makes it so that Peter Parker must have created his costume through cultural appropriation after stealing his suit designs from the Amazon's native Spider-People.

Love or hate the Marvel movie - which still hasn't, and likely never will, cross $100 million worldwide - there are plenty of laughs to be had here.

Madame Web's cast hasn't shied away from addressing the failed blockbuster's shortcomings, though Johnson held nothing back when she recently said she's "not surprised" the movie flopped with critics, adding that, "It was definitely an experience for me to make [Madame Web]. I had never done anything like it before. I probably will never do anything like it again because I don’t make sense in that world."

"But sometimes in this industry, you sign on to something, and it’s one thing and then as you’re making it, it becomes a completely different thing, and you’re like, 'Wait, what?'" the actress continued. "But it was a real learning experience, and of course it’s not nice to be a part of something that’s ripped to shreds, but I can’t say that I don’t understand."

Sony Pictures probably never had any definitive plans for these characters, but we find it hard to imagine anyone involved with Madame Web being willing to return. Venom: The Last Dance and Kraven the Hunter are still heading our way later this year and it remains to be seen whether they can escape similar ridicule.
