Next year, we are getting a new take of spider man. We've had two already, so here is a look at the good and the basd of what we have already seen!

The Original Trilogy
The Bad:
-Green Goblin (both suits, Peter’s inexplicable denial of telling Harry what happened)
-Venom (Peter’s dance moves, Eddie Brock’s annoyingness, being small, ruining a character and a whole franchise)
-Cast (Tobey Maguire’s weird faces, Kristen Dunst, Topher Grace)

The Good:
-Tone (the unserious New York setting and the voice-over narration really felt like a comicbook come to life)
-Story/Themes/Character development
-SPIDER MAN 2 (awesomeness, except for the cast)

The Amazing Spider-Man 1
The Bad:
-Spider Man Suit (small orange eyes, weird hands and feet)
-Lizard look (no coat, no snout)
-Basketball scene (weird)
-Discovering powers scenes (weird, trying too hard not to look like originals)
-Skateboard
-Hipstering

The Good:
-The Cast
-SCHOOL FIGHT SCENE

The Amazing Spider-Man 2
The Bad:
-Electro (character, acting, look, dubstep)
-Green Goblin (look, face/hair)
-Rhino (suit, annoyingness)
-Peter Parker (being cool)
-Captain Stacy hallucinations (weird)
-Too many stories (inconsistency)
-Too many villains (not really, it has the same amount as in TDK, 3)

The Good:
-SIDER-MAN (being cool, witty, inspiring and the best one we've ever had)
-Green Goblin (character)
-Action, Special Effects
-Everything about Peter and Gwen

Thats all guys! What do you think? Please comment on your thoughts below!

Maguire was horrible. He looked like a 30 year old trolling Kirsten Dunst: "Oh, well Spiderman would say, Mary Jane when I look in your eyes I get lost in some dumb shit nobody would ever say, ever"

There are no good Spiderman movies yet.

@Scorpion8125 its true, he was 30. But he looked younger, he was good compared to maguire, he had wonderful chemistry with emma (come on he didnt look like a creep) and the actor loved the role so i liked him. The Peter Parker he portrayed was too cool/hipster/skater though, but the spiderman was great.

In my opinion Toby is a far better Peter Parker. Garfield is just too handsome and cool to be unpopular, plus he skateboards and wasn't really a science geek like at all so I just don't understand what TASM was trying to pull. A handsome, funny, skateboarding kid who isn't too worried about being smart is somehow unpopular? You could see it with Toby, his "weird faces" and well played awkwardness really helped sell the fact that this was a kid who was not liked by his peers, which is a huge aspect to Spiderman's character. Everybody says Garfeilds spidey was better, but I'm not so sure, especially since most scenes where Spidey has his mask on are most likely stunt doubles, as it would be cheaper and safer to shoot with them. He had a better physique for spidey, (meaning he looked lankier and thus more spider like with thinner limbs and all) but that is about it. Also people say he is funnier spidey, that comes down to writing, you can't say Garfields spidey being funnier was because of him, it was written for him. If some article came out where thhey say Garfield improved many of his lines then ill give it to him, but the funnyness of spidey in that film had nothing to do with Garfield. This means the only thing Garfield has on Toby's spidey is size, and since Toby is shorter he takes that contest.
Winner=Toby

@huckfinnisher I myself am handsome but really skinny, socially very awkward and a geek. Peter parker is handsome in the comics (#nohomo). He is also a hilarious guy, its just that he is very shy and incredibly smart, he is an introvert. Garfield was believable as a funny guy, Tobey not, it wouldnt have worked if Tobeys spiderman was constantly joking, i cant even imagine it. Tobeys face was just too distracting and annoying for me. The train scene in sm2 coulf have been amazing but omg, it was really awkward to see that. The problem with Garfield, especially in tasm2, as i stated in the article, is he was not shy, not an introvert and not brilliant. He was making out with the hottest girl in front of the whole school. Peter parker is awkward and shy without the mask, but when he puts it on, he becomes coolest guy.

@BruceWillis, I agree that Pete in the comics is a good lookin bro but I believe it was more of something he grew into. In his first appearences he was drawn very average looking and as the character passed from artist to artist they generally began to exaggerate his looks because everything in comics is exaggerated. I agree that Toby didn't seem very funny, but I thought that helped because when he actually landed a reasonable joke it was a surprise and contrast from Toby Peter rather then just what you would expect from Garfeild Peter. Your right though about the rest, just in my opinion Toby was more relatable and therefore more spidey to me as Spidey is played as an everyman in the comics. The more handsome the guy is playing Spidey the less I can relate. Not that I am terrifically ugly just not movie star handsome as that is like only five percent of the population, and I don't think Spidey should be that pretty either. What you think about Holland though? Looks like if the Garfield and Toby had a kid haha.

@huckfinnisher what a fanboy of raimi.

Peter Parker in the comics isnt ugly and hava meny girfriends, so a nerd must be ugly?? WTF!!!

And spiderman of Garfield is more funny than mcguire thanks to the charisma of Garfield.

Yes, Garfield is better.

Haha its hilarious we are having a discussion about how handsome is peter parker. But come on, andrew garfield is not brad pitt, like peter, he is average looking, thats what i mean by handsome. And to me, peter is a really funny guy who happens to be really shy and who didnt have many friends on highschool. But i guess that he means a different thing to every fan.

@Omega140, I am a big Raimi fan, although I don't think that I am biased. I might be though, guess we all are even sub consciously! No though, I didn't mean Spidey has to be ugly. I don't think Toby is ugly, so me liking Toby and thinking Garfield is too handsome doesn't mean I want Peter to be ugly. Why you think Toby is ugly? If your problem is the faces he makes c'mon man!People make weird faces, people are ugly when they cry and when they strain themselves. Toby's choice to make the weird faces instead of just do Zoolander's magnum (not that that is what Garfield's performance was, he did well) speaks to his willingness to commit as an actor. As for the charisma you got me there. I do think Garfield has a bit more charisma.
@BruceWillis, Empire rated Andrew Garfield the 36th sexiest man alive, (found that out after a quick search) in 2013. The 36th most handsome celebrity man in 2013, out of literally thousands of actors. It is just not a relatable level of attractiveness for me. Any time anything happens with Gwen I'm like so what if she doesn't like you, you can just pick up a new (less fussy) girl in a second. Even among the most handsome dudes in the world he is 36th, so in his local area he is like the most handsome dude ever. Could pretty much bag any girl he wants based solely on attraction. I mean I'm sure Brad Pitt is on the Empire list, probably a bit higher, but the fact that Garfield is 36th means they are at least comparably handsome.
Too damn pretty!!
You didn't say what ya thought about Holland though?

@Scorpion8125, you always tell it how it is no matter how unpopular it is! Brilliant!

@huckfinnisher I really like him! Hahaha true he does look like garfield and toby had a son. I just hope that dot he has in his chin is not too distracting (like toby's faces)

@BruceWillis, Me too! I think he is gonna be great but that dot mang, I just don't know. Sometimes its there and sometimes it isn't in photos so I feel like I'm gonna spend the entire movie just looking for it! Gonna be good though for sure, a bit worried about the writers though.
