Shailene Woodley was cast as Mary Jane Watson in 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but her minor role in the critical flop was cut in order to focus on Peter Parker & Gwen Stacy's relationship. However, now that yet another Spider-Man reboot is currently in development at Sony with the help of Marvel Studios, would the Divergent star be interested in playing Spidey's main squeeze in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? When Clevver Movies sat down with Woodley to discuss her upcoming film, Insurgent, the actress said, "Heck yeah" to playing MJ in (another) reboot of the iconic character.

Though it is unlikely for Shailene Woodley to be recast in the role, especially given Marvel and Sony are reportedly looking to cast actual teenagers to portray... teenagers, it is still nice to see that she's interested despite luckily being cut out of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. You may recall last year when the actress expressed interest in joining the Marvel Cinematic Cinematic, so perhaps she could tackle another role.

How would you guys feel if Shailene Woodley was cast as MJ in Marvel's upcoming reboot? As for the Spider-Man reboot, it is set to hit theatres everywhere in 2017, and according to reports, will be directed by Cabin In The Woods' Drew Goddard.
